Q: How can I get the rod to tighten on the walls. It keeps slipping and not tightening. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. Help! Thx

submitted by Help - 6 years ago

  • A: Instructions above and video do not work-will not tighten and hold

submitted byseaweede - 6 years ago

  • A: Hi Help - Thanks for stopping by! To get this to stay, you will want to make sure it is tight up against the wall and twist. Please see the video to the left of the item picture to get more details. I hope this helps! - Katrina

  • A: Watch the online installation video as step 4 of the printed instructions is wrong. You need to rotate the *entire* rod towards you as the last step (after turning the short rod in step 3).

submitted byTomS - 2 years ago

  • A: Don't listen to the instructions....When installing, keep one end (finial) loose. Then, when you twist to tighten it, the rod will tighten into the finial and against the wall.

submitted bySusieQ - 4 years ago

  • A: I had the exact same issue until I followed the directions of a commenter which said “Don't listen to the instructions....When installing, keep one ends loose. ( Preferably the one on the end of the thinner side) Then, when you twist to tighten it, the rod will tighten into the rods End and against the wall.

submitted byNess - 1 year ago

  • A: I don't think you're doing it wrong. I've tried to get this right so many times. The directions don't work. I've been able to put together so many things correctly, but this one doesn't work.

submitted byTomS - 2 years ago

  • A: Bought this rod as well and it does not tighten at all. The rod is not made correctly. Returning in the morning.

Q: The description says “if your version includes adhesive” How do I know if the one I’m about to buy includes that (looking at bronze version)?

submitted by Jillian - 2 months ago

  • A: Hi Jillian - Thanks for reaching out with your question. I can understand wanting to know exactly what's included before making a purchase. Based on the product information available, the 72" Rust Resistant Basic Rod Bronze - Threshold™ shower rod is an adjustable, rust-resistant steel tension rod, and we don't see any indication that adhesive mounting hardware is included. Q: How do you re-install the clear plastic piece that allows the rods to connect/adjust? Mine fell out and I don't know where it came from or what side of the rod it goes in or around

submitted by Grayson Woodyard - 9 months ago

  • A: Grayson: The clear plastic piece is the spacer sleeve, which helps create a stable, secure fit between the inner and outer rods. To re-install it, slide the spacer sleeve into the outer rod, then slide the inner rod back into place. If you have any trouble or need further help, please feel free to contact us at customerexperience@satorihomeltd.com

Guests are saying

This shower curtain rod offers a sleek design and is easy to install, making it a versatile choice for various applications, including holiday decorations. Many guests appreciate its sturdy construction and adjustable length, which allows for customization to fit different spaces. However, there are concerns regarding its ability to hold tension over time, with numerous reports of it falling down, leading to frustration for some users. Overall, it serves well for light use but may not be ideal for heavier curtains.

This rod is sturdy, and have some weight to it. Not a heavy weight but a solid weight. The design gives my bathroom the brightness that it needs. I'm glad I chose this color.

    Does Not Stay Up Ever

I have had this rod for about 9 months now and it has fallen close to 20 times. I was just in the shower minding my business when suddenly this rod comes plummeting down onto my face from 10 feet in the air. I cannot explain how difficult it is to put this thing back up after your entire bathroom gets sprayed with water. If you so much as breathe in the wrong direction of this rod it starts attacking you from 10 feet in the air. My shower curtain is near the texture of linen, and weighs almost nothing. Unless you want to face near death on a regular basis, please I beg you buy anything BUT this shower rod.

    Weak

Looks sleek but it doesn’t hold up. Every couple weeks it falls and I have to put it back up again. I’ve wondered if the curtain is too heavy but it’s a Target curtain and no weight limit is listed. Do not recommend unless you’re hanging a feather.
