Q: Are these truly a cream color rather than white? My cupboards are cream and white wouldn’t be what I want. Also, what color is the “grout”?

A: Hello Kathy, Thank you for your question on our peel and stick backsplash. We would probably classify the tiles as more white than cream and the grout is more of a light grey. We will look into why the title says cream as it is an off-white, but not 'creamy' enough to be cream. Thanks again RoomMates Team

Q: Suggestions on how to 'finish' an edge that is exposed to a hallway...

A: Hello Joanne, Thank you for your question on our peel and stick backsplash tiles. Our tiles are made of vinyl and able to be cut with a utility knife, so you should be able to cut a straight edge. However, many customers apply trim to prevent the edges of the tile from coming up over time, albeit not required as the adhesive on these products is quite strong. Thanks again RoomMates Team

Q: The description says that they can be used as a backsplash or in the bathroom but they’re not recommended for wet surfaces. Can you please clarify if they are safe for a kitchen or bathroom where they will get wet? Thank you

A: Hello, Yes, they're able to used in both of those areas but we caution that they should not be submerged in water as it may ruin the adhesive backing.

Deceptive description and sticky on both sides!
I have used RoomMates products on 3 different home projects and was more than satisfied with the ease of use and quality. It is VERY unfortunate that I cannot say the same for the particular offering. First: what I was expecting to receive was SQUARES of tiles as the description indicates. What was received was partial, irregular pieces that are meant to fit with other pieces. However, since my intended use was planned to cut each 'tile' and use the 'tiles' as a frame. But a MAJOR drawback to this product is that the front of the tiles is tacky - permanently. So the tacky front will collect every bit of dust, pet dander, pet hair, grease droplets, etc. Why would anyone want something sticky on the walls of their kitchen or bathroom that will pick up anything in the air with no way to clean the tiles? I was disappointed to say the least. Especially since I had to open the package to discover the stickiness and can't return it.

Best backsplash for the price!!
We bought 6 orders to add backsplash to our kitchen and the picture does not do this white (tile)/ aqua-green (grout) any justice! It’s beautiful, so easy to install and I imagine easy to clean as well. 5 stars

I unfortunately have to say that I'm a bit disappointed in these tiles. As much as I love the aesthetic I'm finding the adhesive to be poor quality. After only a few weeks on the wall I am finding parts of tiles peeling. I would not recommend purchasing these.

If the wall is slightly textured, not cleaned properly, or recently painted, the tiles may not stick very well. These tiles look so much like the real tiles and for half the price. I also used another brand to cover old marble on my fireplace. Looks great. The subway tiles we placed above my shower in the bathroom. We couldn't afford to have real tile put it so we did this and I'm so glad we did. You can't even tell unless your directly in front of it that it's only plastic.

No stress application as long as you remember to overlap the grout lines. Taking off is easy too with a little muscle and something to remove the left over adhesive off the walls

Better Than Expected
I read other reviews before purchasing. Pros and cons. But I'm glad I took the chance. The subway tiles look amazing in my kitchen. I have a black and grey speckled granite counter and white cabinets and its the perfect complement. subtle bur noticeable.
