lacking Rabbet room
I couldn't fit three of my art pieces that were matted in it; the back wouldn't close. The area where you slide the art or photo into is only deep enough for art or photos that aren't matted. I had to return three of the four. I was disappointed because these are beautiful. I also noticed the three I returned had rub marks on each one in different spots. It looked like the finish had worn off; it was not because of the natural wood grain difference. It may have been rubbed in shipping because nothing was protecting the four from rubbing against each other.

You will have to trim your 5x7 photo for this frame
The previous reviewer is correct. To make a 5x7 photo fit in this frame you will have to trim it down. Also, I would say the wood tone in the stock photo is slightly lighter than what it is in person.

Love the frame!
I purchased this wooden frame because I loved the bark on the sides. I selected it because of the unique, two toned wood. My 5X7 print fit perfectly. I plan on purchasing 3 more for a grouping on my wall.

Size matters.
A technically functional frame—if your photo is slightly smaller than 5x7". The picture intended for this frame measured at exactly 5x7" and did not fit, so we measured the insertion area within the frame and discovered it is actually roughly 4.8x6.8". There was also some flaking around the "natural" wood sides.
