Very disappointing
I bought 3 of these for my disabled husband. He wanted to organize his vinyl record album collection. If these were actually 17 1/4 x 14 1/4 they would have been perfect. Unfortunately your measurements are wrong. At its widest point it measures 16 5/8 x 13 7/8. Too small for albums. Very disappointing

The outside dimensions measure: 17 1/4" L x 14 1/4" W x 10 3/4" H, and the interior dimensions at the bottom measure: 15" L x 12" W x 10 1/4" H. These dimensions listed on our website and labels are the measurements taken from the widest points of the products, typically the lid or top, and include and protrusions. Inside dimensions are smaller as the product tapers downward. This is the universal method for measuring housewares. Who knew it would roll?
I have 2 of the black and they are the best ever for my files. I discovered the 4 small holes in the bottom that fit 4 small wheels from one of my other Sterilite product's. I can easily roll the crate under my table and roll it out when I need a file.

Sharp edges
This product has very sharp edges on it. I cut my finger on it when picking it up, took layers of skin off my finger, bleeding, painful for a week, still having to keep the injured sire covered.

Sterilite File Crate
This is so great for me, I placed this crate on my porch for small package deliveries. This crate keeps them. Organized and out of view. I also use one under the sink for kitchen cleaners. Doesn’t take up much space.

Perfect Crate For College Supplies
I purchased these when my child went off to college which came in handy for just about everything like books, stationary supplies, bath and beauty products, small towels and washcloths. They are extremely sturdy and have held up well.

Teacher's Best Friend
These crates are the best invention. I use them for everything, from storing my never ending to do of grading, to current student work and student materials. I highly recommend these to anyone that needs simple organization.

These things melt and warp too easily
I have purchased many of these over the years, but the last few years have been very disappointing! A few warped just driving home from the store in 90+ degree weather. Vertical stacking and regular usage finds them warping so they cannot be used as described for the vertical stacking very easily. The crates aren't the only thing that has a quality that has gone downhill either. I'm just perplexed why the quality has gone downhill to this extent.

Very Durable
I use these in my classroom to store students' binders, so they see a lot of rough treatment. They tend to hold up well and have lasted for years. I really wish they came in more colors, however.

Excellent durability
I teach elementary school and I have owned just one of the file crates for five years. Because of its durability and design, this crate has never cracked, broken, or come apart. It's really nice because it holds the file folder holders perfectly. They stack, so I intend on purchasing more for next year.

Good but could be better
This file crate is more durable than the other storage crate but it is still kind of flimsy and really needs to be made either of a more durable material or made a lot thicker with the material currently being used. Other than that it is quite usable and good if you do not have to move heavy items in it.

Keeping students organized since 2012.
I use these in my classroom to keep my students' binders organized. Each class has a different colored crate and all their materials go inside. I like these because they don't take up too much space and are wildly practical. At the end of the year, I use them to transport books or supplies back home. The only change I'd make to this product would be to make them stackable. If you want to use them like bookshelves, they don't fit together and aren't stable. Otherwise....I love these things!

I use different colored file crates in my classroom. I use one for my Friday folders. I use one for each of my four core classes. I use one for my homeroom. My only complaint is that they don't have yellow ones in this size.
