Sauce pot with some weight to it.
This is a good workhorse sauce pot. Easy to use, great heat response, heat distribution. My favorite part is that the handle is welded on not rivetted, so I don't end up with a bunch of gunk from my last meal trying to ruin my next one. Works great on the stove and transfers to the oven really easily, slightly heavier than the average but I like that because it isn't sliding all over the place. Still lighter than my cast iron too.

Best pot you’ll ever buy
I have used both this item and the larger pot as well and they both cook so evenly. Not only that are they very stylish but they clean so easily too. My husband for sure though he burnt gravy in it but when we went to clean it there were not stains at the bottom and it still looks brand new. 100% recommend.

Quick Breakdown of Positives & Negatives
Demeyere Atlantis 1.6-qt Stainless Steel Saucepan Positives: Excellent, Even cooking Can be used on multiple cook surfaces (induction, gas, electric) No internal rivets = no extra scrubbing, yet construction secure Note: Stated height is 5.08 inches. Without lid, saucepan is a bit under 3.5 inches Cons Heavy saucepan for its size, which may be a consideration for some. Would help to have a helper handle on the opposite side. Lid handle gets hot; You'll need a silicone grabber with this one.

Pot feels and looks great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty heavy on the bottom where the cladding is. Could make movement a bit unwieldy. Otherwise I expect great performance out of this one for a long time.

Luxury
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have only used this pot once but it has great weight, heats quick and the lid fits great. It felt like it kept heat much better than what I am used to

The Demeyere Atlantis is top of the line quality. Love that it is manufactured in Belgian, and that the handles are welded on rather than riveted. This prevents food and debris from gathering in the riveted area and keep bacteria from forming. The V shaped handle helps disperse some of the heat, which keeps it temperature safe to handle on the cooktop. Purchased the 1.6 quart and found it to be the perfect size to heat milk for hot chocolate, make rice, grains, and oatmeal. Heats fast and evenly, without sticking or scorching thanks to the 7 layers. This pan is well designed and works great on my induction cooktop.

Excellence is Easy to Appreciate
I have read many reviews of premium priced cookware. The one metric that always seems to be missing is the most important one: "price vs. performance. In addition to my Demere products, I own several pieces of cookware that always seems to come up highly rated. Based on my experience: > I'll never hesitate to say that the functional benefits that Demeyere claims, are absolutely true. > The idea that the price point of Demeyere is significantly higher than that of competing products, is a myth. So, if price/performance is your measure, I recommend the Demeyere products Caveats: >> When Demeyere was sold to Zwilling I worried that, over time, the quality of the product my be compromised.I haven't yet experienced that to be the case. >> The only product where I think weight and functional valuemight be out of balance is the larger saute pan.

great heat transfer
The technology put into such a simple item as a pot is astounding. The 7 layer base really transfers heat quickly. It boils water in no time. The Silvinox process used keeps the steel so shiny use after use. The welded handles means no food or bacteria can build up around rivets. Great craftsmanship all around.

Present for me.
I purchased a set of these pans and skillets for my son. I was impressed with the look and the weight of them so a bought a replacement for my 1.5 sauce pan (all clad) and just love it. It has a perfectly flat bottom so it heats evenly and with no rivets on the inside clean up is a breeze. Can’t wait to replace my 6.0. Just as additional information I purchased a 12.5 skillet last year which I totally love also. These pans are pricey but really worth the money. I can see them “seeing me out”. I use them every day pretty much and they look like new with a little Barkeepers Friend and a scour sponge.

This Demeyere Atlantis saucepan is made with a 7-Ply construction (layers), including a copper layer. It has excellent heat conduction and retention. Demeyere also uses what’s called flat base technology so their pans will never warp when heated, even at high heats. Look inside the pan, what is it missing? Rivets, there are no rivets inside this pan so clean up is a dream. The pan also has a pouring edge for no-mess cooking. It can be used on all cooking surfaces including induction, oven and broiler safe up to 500F. Wait, it’s also dishwasher safe.

love it!
I love this saucepan very much!!! Every morning I use it to cook the oatmeal. The heat is even on the induction, and very easy to clean. After one month use, it does not appear the diacolor issue on the bottom of the exterior.
