Flavorful addition for mutiple dishes
This is a savory spice mix with classic, flavorful spices mixed in a balanced way. This is NOT a hot curry, but a flavorful one that is a good addition to many dishes from egg and veggie scrambles, to rice dishes, sauted vegetables and more. If you want heat, it's easy to add cayenne or chili's but this mixture does well on its own in many dishes.

Cinnamon is the main flavor
This does not taste like curry powder, the main flavor is cinnamon, and obviously this issue has not been addressed becasue users have mentioned this going on 4 years now. I make peanut sauce, satay, and other curry dishes and look for a balanced tasting curry powder. I threw this in the trash. I do not mind paying for a good curry powder; if the label says curry, it should smell and taste like curry, not have a one-note flavor. Some of the Good & Gather spices and herbs are decent for the price - not this one.

This isn't curry worth buying.
Even half decent decent curry mix has chillies, salt, cardamom, curry leaves at least! Chilli and cardamom being the important ones. This has none of the above. It's like a half-curry base. You need the rest of the spices above and what's with the no salt in this? Why's everyone so afraid of salt? It's tasteless actually, without the chili. Yellow powder, no heat, no pungency, no aroma of beautifully spiced dishes. If your Indian family saw this, they'd be horrified and buy you some actual SPICE mix. The spices in this mix are all bland, and only about half of a decent curry mix. Buy another curry powder mix. Pataks, Rani, S&B ( personal favourite). I'm going to return this bottle of shame.

I made Jamaican style curry chicken with chickpeas and potatoes. It came out amazing. Although, whatever amount of curry a recipe calls for, add a little extra.
