This hypoallergenic formula is a cost-effective alternative to Nutramigen and Alimentum, but it has mixed reviews. While some guests find it works well for their babies, others report issues with clumping, diarrhea, and stomach discomfort. Proper mixing techniques can help reduce clumping, and some guests appreciate the savings and effectiveness for sensitive tummies.

Cottage cheese chunks
There is something seriously wrong with this formula, it actually caused tummy issues and constipation. All of my kids used hypoallergenic formula, but this one is awful. It doesn't mix well at all. The powder turns into cottage cheese-like clumps. You can shake the bottle until your arm falls off and the powder will still not fully mix/dissolve into the water. Discontinued use immediately due to safer concerns.

Not comparable to Nutramigen. Bought it to try a more cost effective option, kept my baby up all night with tummy issues. Was also extremely lumpy and wouldn’t mix properly

The other reviews are correct, there are clumps when mixing. You need to shake the bottle vigorously to get them out. Aside from that, my baby had a reaction right away from drinking this formula. I thought I found a cheap but good alternative to Nutramigen but I will have to stop using it.

Formula Dilemma
This formula, ordering and check out are great! It us the shipping I don't like. It comes UPS, they leave it at the mailbox in the heat, or they delay delivery for 2 days until fill up a truck coming this way.

Clumpy in bottle
This formula doesn’t dissolve well. After trying to shake it up and mix it, it still has a lot of clumps of formula in the bottle. It clogged up the nipple once as well.

NOT comparable to Nutramigen
I agree with other reviews that if this your babies first hypoallergenic formula, it may be worth the value. However, there is a distinct difference between this and the Nutramigen. My preemie did not tolerate this well at all, no matter the amount of shaking the clumps were terrible. This aggravated his acid reflux and caused major coughing/choking episodes! One bottle back on Nutramigen and his issues were resolved. Not a comparable alternative in my opinion!

Sanity & Money Saver!
This formula saved our little guy’s tummy and our sanity! We decided to try this before moving to a name brand formula for CMPA, and I am so glad we did. Within two weeks, we had a whole new baby. The only difference is that you have to make sure you mix it well because it clumps easier than general formula. So grateful for a store brand so that we can feed our baby what he needs and still afford our other groceries!

Not remotely comparable
We bought this while waiting for our Nutramigen shipment, thinking it would be comparable and we’d save a bit of money in the meantime. Our little one has had horrible gas and struggles to enjoy this off brand. Ounces consumed has dropped on this formula. It is terrible to prepare, often leaving many chunks regardless of the waters temperature or how you mix it. I suppose this might be helpful if this is your first hypoallergenic formula, but if you’ve used the name brands this is NOT a good formula. This is a “crap, I need to pick something up until my order comes in” and that’s being generous.

Clumpy
This formula was significantly cheaper than other brand name hypoallergenic formula. It did seem to clump a little easier than other brand name hypoallergenic formula but if you shake it well, it’s not a big deal. I’ve also had issues with it clumping at the bottle nipple. Lastly, my daughter got a slightly rash after a week or 2 of this.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This hurt my babies belly so bad and gave him an awful diaper rash.

This stuff should not be considered a generic of Nutramigen. Yes it is a hypoallergenic formula. And the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because it did stop blood in the stool. The consistency is thicker than regular formula. Clumpy unless you shake vigorously for a minute. It’s very acidic and caused reflux issues my baby previously didn’t have and very acidic poops, will burn your babies bottom up. Switched to the enfamil nutramigen and it’s been a game changer. It’s not worth the money savings unfortunately

Use a blender bottle
For those of you complaining about the clumping, we use a blender bottle and it doesn’t leave any clumps whatsoever. If you try to mix it in the bottle it will definitely clump. So far I am happy with this formula for my baby who has a milk protein intolerance. It is budget friendly and she doesn’t have an issue with the taste so it’s a win for me.

Horrible!
I got into a spot where I couldn’t afford the huge canister of Nutramigen once a week. I thought this would be a good alternative, as I usually really love the Up & Up products. However, this stuff is NOT the same whatsoever. This gave my baby the worst rash- so bad, she had open sores and had to be put on steroid cream and antibiotics. After ONE bottle back on Nutramigen, the rash started going away. This formula made her stool so acidic it was literally burning her skin. Just spend the money on Nutramigen.

Affordable alternative
Love having an alternative to the expensive formulas! It is a little clumpy but using a milk frother, to mix, does the trick. The formula is perfect for supplementing mamas. We supplement, so my baby is not fully used to formula. So he does waste sometimes, regardless of brand. I do feel a little better that this isn’t $70+

it's really not that bad.
Our daughter has been on this for about 3 or 4 months with little to no issues. Yes, it is alittle clumpy. Yes, you have to shake a bit more. There's a pretty easy solution for that: Warm the water up first. There are some kids who's tummy just doesn't like it, and that's okay. Don't use this again then. My only gripe is that it stinks and her burps are worse.

Don't buy!
The only good thing about this formula is that it is significantly cheaper than the name brands, which is why I bought it. However, as other reviews also say, it is impossible to get it mixed completely. Tons of clumps left floating in the water. It also made my daughter very spitty and very fussy. Luckily Target has a satisfaction guarantee for their store brand products, and I will be returning for a refund. If you have a baby who is sensitive to different formulas and you have found one that works, stick with that. Don’t waste your time/money on this.
