Not for people with ptsd
NOT for those with PTSD.. this book is not at all what I expected it to be with how many raving reviews it got. It felt like a never ending internet blog post from the 00s. Informative? Sure! Helpful? Not at all.

Loved it before I even opened it
I was so afraid of blindly ordering this book, but after skimming through the chapters and just reading the 1st two pages of the prologue and this book is going to be very relatable. Enjoy 🩷

Yes, buy it.
Hard read. And I mean it was a lot of detailed info that was hard to accept such as the trauma that was described in this book. It was a eye opener as to how much the human body can actually handle. This book was suggested by my therapist. I would recommend if you’re ready to go there. I did take several breaks. This is what I mean a hard read.

Buy this!!!
Absolutely amazing. This book was suggested by my therapist, and I am so grateful she did. This book opens your eyes to how your brain functions (and doesn't) after you have experienced trauma. Amazing read! Get it.

The Boddy does, indeed, Keep Score as does our lives!
This is a ‘scholarly’ read more than an everyday person’s read. It is informative, contemplative and self-reflective that many, most especially, trauma survivors, many need to work through with a professional counselor vs reading singularly.

Brr. Prologue=finest crafted bow w/ piercing brevity larrows
I have heard it referred by beloved podcasters/Dr/Authors etc and I will get passed the prologue after larger fonts are purchased. The font is absurdly small for a printed book that is read by so many stranded &/or aging eyes. Smaller than the fine print

Grwat book
Only 100 pages in but it is a great book explaining how the brain works, how trauma affects it, and why we have certain tendencies based on that trauma. Highly recommend!

Its a must read for anyone suffering from PTSD
though I used to love to read, I have developed major concentration issues due to ptsd; however, this book held my attention right away. I even took notes on the doctors finding and quotes bc I found them to be really helpful. hope it helps you as well!

incredibly interesting and eye opening
it has been incredibly eye opening to learn how clearly the experiences of childhood can mold our present. Its something we all kind of know, but to learn the extent of it, and the ways throught it, has been enlightening

incredible
This is an impactful book that includes real patient stories about trauma and treatment. I would 10/10 recommend even if you haven't personally experienced a trauma (although you may even be surprised as to how much something has impacted you).
