Q: How mang mg of caffeine is in each pod?

  • A: Hi Gianna, thank you for your question. The caffeine content per brewed capsule for our Sumatra is approximately between 130 to 200 mg. The variation in the amount of caffeine depends mainly on the green coffee. Robusta contains roughly twice as much caffeine as Arabica. Caffeine content is also determined by the amount of ground coffee in the capsule, the degree of roasting, and to a lesser extent, the coffee origin. There is no correlation between the assigned "intensity" and caffeine content.

  • A: The "crema" is a froth created by the machine, by the method of extraction the Nespresso machine uses. It's not an ingredient that is added to coffee.

BEST COFFEE. Perfect for ice coffee

SUPPER tasty! I love to make it into iced coffee. This coffee still tasted strong after putting ice with creamer. it is perfectly strong but not to strong. Definitely my favorite.

Dark, Smooth and Tasty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried a #freesample of Starbucks by Nespresso for Vertuo Sumatra. This coffee is absolutely delicious! It’s nice and bold, just the way I enjoy it, and leaves a nice creamy froth on top! Even though it is bold, it has a very smooth taste, which is not bitter at all! I also like the fact that the box has a “tab” on it to keep it closed.

I tried this flavor first because I had never used my Nespresso machine so I thought it would be strong and dark. But it was the perfect blend. It almost gave a cocoa flavor for me. The Verturo Sumatra was strong and dark like I suspected. But it didn't disappoint me at all. I actually found myself drinking this one over all of my choices. It was dark and bold but almost creamy it was so bold.

The Best of Nespresso: Bold vs. Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a chance to try these, and the Starbucks Sumatra Nespresso pods have quickly become one of my favorites. It’s a bold, earthy coffee with smooth, syrupy flavors, but it’s not bitter at all. If you want something lighter, the Veranda is a good pick too. It’s a blonde roast, so it’s much milder with notes of toasted nuts and a hint of citrus sweetness—perfect for days when you want something a bit less strong or with less caffeine. #freesample
