Q: What does this smell like? How is this "free and clear" if fragrance is added?

A: To me it smelled like whiskey. I threw out my sponge & laundered my cloth thinking they had gone funky?! Later realized it was the soap. To be fair..one roommate agreed and the other did not.

Q: The P&G Blog says “Dawn Powerwash customers can purchase refills, minimizing waste while ensuring the trigger is now fully recyclable.” which is less than clear. Does “while ensuring“ mean the whole bottle is now recyclable?

Q: Why is this marketed as "free and clear," which for about 20 years has meant fragrance-free and dye-free? I bought this thinking it was actually "free and clear" and couldn't use it. Inconvenient!

I’m looking at you.) it’s easy to use, a couple sprays goes a long way. I appreciate the free and clear version as we are a fragrance and dye free home, and I was glad to see it doesn’t sacrifice quality. I wish there were more eco friendly packaging for cleaning supplies as we prefer to keep plastic consumption to a minimum, but this bottle has lasted me over a month after daily use, so the value is great.

The other Dawn Free & Clear dish soap has no scent. This spray product does. "Free & Clear" should not mean two different things. The product works ok, but it does not do much different than regular dish soap. I would not buy again.

I told my wife that I was going to check on line to see if anyone else is having a problem with the new scent of Dawn Platinum. Add our voices to the over 500 one star reviews. How could you think this scent was OK? We are over 65 and have used Dawn forever. Not anymore. We're changing brands. By the way, your admission that the recent change in the scent name is very revealing; not a real change - just a name change. It's all about the marketing. Fresh rain smells nothing like this!

Having the ability to spray soap THAT CUTS GREASE over your plates and pans is great BUT being able to cover larger areas like the floor after by kids have eaten is even better! My only wish would be that there was no scent, as I am very sensitive to smells, especially anything with a fresh scent.
