Q: This leaves their hands free, what do you recommend covering their hands with so they don't scratch themselves at night? Can you tuck the arms in the halo sleepsack?
submitted by plueberry - 7 years ago
A: Hi there, HALO Here. This product can cover any PJ's to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. We do not recommend tucking arms into the halo sleepsack.
submitted byadenandanaisQA - 6 years ago
A: This is the Halo Sleepsack, which is designed for babies too old to be swaddled (babies who roll). Halo also makes a velcro Swaddle, which covers the arms and hands. You can always cover hands with mittens to prevent scratching, but our NICU nurses told us that the benefits of letting the baby explore its hands outweigh the risks of scratches, while heal quickly.

A: The SleepSack can be worn over any pajamas to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. We would not recommend you tuck baby's arms into the SleepSack.

Q: How do I tell which Halo swaddles have a TWO WAY zipper? I find the inverted zippers difficult for a squirming baby.
submitted by KSM - 5 years ago
A: "Our products with the two-way zipper will have a zipper cover at the top of the SleepSack. The inverted zippers do not have this cover." answer is not true. i have a one way zipper and has cover.
submitted byJan - 3 years ago
A: HALO here! We've updated all current models to include an inverted zipper. Currently we do not offer a method to determine which SleepSack will have a two-way zipper, so you may need to look at the product images to confirm its zipper style. Our products with the two-way zipper will have a zipper cover at the top of the SleepSack. The inverted zippers do not have this cover.

I don't like it.
Really not usable. The other Halo sleep sacks I have, have a double zipper, are a nice weight and keep baby warm. This sleep sack has an "upside-down" one way zipper, which is super not user friendly especially in the middle of the night. It's very thin. I guess I'd use it if it was summer and I had no AC. It's basically the equivalent of a top sheet. The fabric is nice for what it is an has a cute print.

Not what we expected
We have several of these and love them! However, the one I just received in the Sage Woodland print is a different material than the others, even though it says 100% cotton, it is thicker and not as cool. It also had a chemically smell when opened.

Love this lightweight sleepsack for
Love this lightweight sleepsack for summer! Wish they kept making bigger sizes for as my child continues to get taller- she is 2yo 36” and her feet nearly reach the bottom of an XL

Cute!
This is pretty soft and very cute. A little heavier than the ideal temp one but still a good option for warmer months.

Zipper is my enemy
Material and weight is nice and lightweight for summer or warmer temps, but I did not realize this had an inverted zipper! Wish it were a two-way zipper, not one that starts at the top. Trying to get the zipper together and zipped on a squirming baby or without disturbing baby is tough. If you are good with that it’s a fine product

Single zipper
I own several of these sleep sacks in size M and they have the double zipper, making it super easy to put on and take off the garment. I need the next size up and have now ordered 6 new ones from 2 different vendors - all have come with the single zipper. I know Halo is in the process of "transitioning" to the double zipper, but there's no way to know which version you'll get when you order. I guess my only choice is to buy a different brand until all these (inferior) single-zipper models are off the shelves.

0.5 tog, not 1.0
This is a nice lightweight sleepsack, Abe I have no issues with it. However the pictures on the target app show it’s 1.0 tog, but it’s really 0.5. My fault for not reading the item description or Q&As.

Love Our SleepSacks!
We have been using these for our baby since he was tiny, and they have allowed him to sleep comfortably while providing us with peace of mind. They work in both the summer and the winter, and I like the ones with the dual zipper because they make diaper changing easy.

Love Halo sleesacks.
Halo sleepsacks are our favorite. My son has been wearing them since he was born. He is 8 months now and wearing a size medium so they do fit true to size. They are so convenient for nighttime diaper changing since they unzip from bottom ( I know people complain about them zipping from the top, but I’d rather only have to open the bottom of the sack and unzip my sons onesie from his foot to change him anyways). Never been an issue for me! Love that they promote safe sleeping and that my son can have some extra warmth without having to use a blanket.

Not as nice as other Halo products
I have other Halo sleep sacks and assumed this would be the same. It is not. This zipper starts at the top/neck area, so it must be completely undone to get baby in and out (other ones I have zip bottom-up or are double zipper). This is very inconvenient with a squirmy baby! The arm holes on this are also small and can be tough to get baby’s arms through.
