Description

Our azelaic acid serum contains a high concentration of a glycinated azelaic acid complex, along with niacinamide, vitamin C and coffee seed extract to help improve the appearance of skin tone, for brighter-looking skin. Formulated with an azelaic acid derivative, this helps to balance excess oil, leaving skin feeling comfortable and hydrated.

To Use: Shake well. Apply an even layer on the face, neck and chest, avoiding the eye area. For best results, follow with a moisturizer. If mild sensitivity or redness occurs, reduce frequency of use until skin adjusts. Wear sunscreen during the day. Patch test prior to use is advised.

  • A: Dermatologist told me to not use these together. To alternate using this on days when I’m not using tretinoin. If you have to use tretinoin daily, then use this serum in the morning and tretinoin at night.

    Gentle Azelaic Acid for Rosacea

    I was looking for an azelaic acid that would be gentle on my skin (as I have both seb-derm and rosacea), and this has been great! I'm still finding the right mix of products to give me the skin I want, and this has been helpful for texture issues specifically.

    Smell

    I bought this product and liked the sleek and simple look of the packaging. I had two other brands I was looking for that were sold out and landed on this one. I did not enjoy the smell of it on my face at all and my husband didn’t like it either. I ended up returning it and found the a different brand with cleaner ingredients and no smell for cheaper. If it wasn’t for the scent I think I would’ve enjoyed it overall

    Use with caution if using retnoids

    I used this once and had a serious allergic reaction - red, itchy, swollen eyes and a bumpy rash all over my face and neck where I applied the serum. I do use tretnoin 1-2 nights a week with about 2 days of rest from tretnoin before using this product so my skin may have been a bit more sensitive due to that but the reaction I had after using this product was insane. I’ve never had a reaction like this to a new product so will not be using this again. Definitely use sparingly at first, especially if you also use retinoids.

    Holy grail for Type 2 Rosacea!!

    A big win with healing my skin thanks to this product! I had been dealing with Type 2 Rosacea (papulopustular rosacea) and nothing I tried (OTC antifungal/bacterial creams, sulfur soap, pyrithione zinc, etc.) worked to heal it. Someone had suggested Naturium's azelaic acid. Out of desperation, I bought it and didn't even bother patch testing. I had put it on the areas with papules and LITERALLY end of day, there was a shift in numbers of pustules. I have only used it for one day and already there's significantly less bumps, smoother skin coming through, like what is this sorcery!? I'm so thankful to have come across this product as it saved me so many more nights of misery and sadness. Highly highlyyyyy recommend for anyone suffering from type 2 rosacea!! The only thing that freaking helped it go down!

    Transformative!

    This has transformed my oily, acne-prone skin. I have blemish marks and cystic acne and started using this around two weeks ago. My skin is brighter, more even, and much more clear. There is a slight smell to the product, but really not strong or bad. I layer this with the CosRX peptide serum. Definitely recommend!

    good serum, take the bottle back to recycle!

    I like this serum a lot and have gone through multiple bottles of it. Since they use glass packaging, they should provide return labels so you can return the bottles and get a discount on future purchases. It is disappointing of Naturium to take 0 initiative about this.

    Gave me head pain!

    I liked how it made my skin even toned but I’m figuring it out that it’s giving me very bad head pains and nerve sensitivity, it took me a week to figure it out, but the ingredients are not the best. Sad bc I did like how it made my skin look. :(

    Amazing results

    Genuinely my holy grail!!! This was the missing piece to the puzzle for my skin, it didn't dry me out or irritate my skin even though I used it every night from the get go.     The smell issue is real, folks

    I really wanted to like this product, it was recommended to me as a great choice for rosacea safe gentle exfoliation. I haven’t been using it long enough to know if it will do the job, but I already know I won’t be able to keep using this. Some other users mentioned the smell, this product doesn’t use much scent masking so it quite literally does smell like spit. While the smell becomes less noticeable after the product sinks into the skin, my sensitive nose can’t handle it. If you have a sensitive sense of smell, skip this and try something else.
