Hope you don't get a previously used bookshelf with missing screws
Received a previously returned item; box was outrageously retaped, all the screws were in the wrong half opened mislabeled baggies, missing screws, scratches, stripped holes, and damaged holes. Also, unnecessarily complex construction design; instructions state 2 hours to build. Also, no quality checks— all baggies happened and then restapled with an excessive amount of mini staples.

Nicely made, darker brown thab pictured
For the price, I think this is a really nice bookshelf. It’s sturdy and heavy and looks more expensive than it is. Putting it together took some time because there are a lot of pieces but it’s not too challenging, especially with two people. The drawer doesn’t slide super easily but is functional. My only complaint is that the color is darker than in the pictures. It has more of a red/dark brown color. It’s pretty just a darker shade of oak than I was expecting from the pictures.
