My hair is usually very frizzy, and this helps control my hairs natural frizzy. The consistency is perfect. You only need a small amount and the cream is not either too thick or too liquid like. Doesn't leave any horrible residue.

The texture is lightweight and spreads easily, and it does add some noticeable volume, especially at the roots. My hair felt a bit fuller without getting weighed down, which is a big plus. That said, the hold isn’t super strong, and the thickening effect doesn’t last all day unless I pair it with other styling products. The scent is on the stronger side too ,not bad, just a lot. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have naturally flat, fine hair — the kind that sits against my head no matter how much I fluff it or tease it. So when I picked up Bed Head’s Small Talk thickening cream, I didn’t expect much. I’ve tried so many “volume” products that either made my hair sticky, greasy, or stiff. But this one actually surprised me. The texture is really lightweight and smooth, almost like a soft cream-serum. I used just one pump on damp hair and worked it through mainly at the roots and mid-lengths. When I blow-dried my hair, that’s when I started noticing the difference. My hair instantly felt fuller. Not in a fake, crunchy way — but like each strand had a little more strength and thickness to it. The volume at the roots looked real, not puffed-up or stiff. And my hair still felt soft and touchable, which never happens with volumizing products. After styling, my hair had this bouncy, lifted look that I never get naturally. Even when I ran my fingers through it, it didn’t fall flat the second I touched it. It actually held its shape for most of the day, and even on day two I could kind of fluff it up again and it still looked decent. The cream also made my hair feel smoother and more controlled, especially at the ends. I noticed less frizz and my hair just looked more “finished,” even when I didn’t spend much time styling it. Overall, Small Talk actually gave me the kind of volume I’ve been trying to get for years but could never achieve with other products. It takes almost no effort, and the results look natural, not overdone. It’s one of the very few products that actually makes my flat hair feel like it has a personality.

I have long straight coloured red hair and I found it didn’t thicken my hair but have it a beautiful shine and made my hair smell amazing. I’d say it’s good value for money if you have the right hair type, unfortunately my hair is just too fine and thin that it doesn’t hold. It dries easily, my hair didn’t have much buildability.

Since having kids my hair is not great at all and this product helped to revive my hair a little bit. It did make it feel a bit heavy too which I wasn’t really keen on but it really is a great product
