Naturium Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm - 3 oz: Paraben-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, Suitable for All Skin Types

This product is horrible, it feels super waxy on the skin, doesn’t emulsify properly, and never feels like it’s actually cleansing your face. Instead, it just feels like a layer sticking to your skin. Definitely not worth the money — especially paying around $30 CAD for it. Really disappointed.

I bought this after hearing fantastic reviews, particularly about it not agitating the eyes when removing eye make-up. Yes, this balm removed my make-up but 1) it sure did agitate the eyes (which I have closed tight; downward swipes of the product) and 2) it leaves a visible white-ish film on the face and fingers that does not come off when rinsing with water, other with another cleanser. At first, I thought it was just something that would go away as I continued to use the product, but it continued for nearly the entire tub. I thought I was using the product incorrectly, so I watched several videos from the founder and influencers and I couldn't see the leftover film and that I was using the product correctly. I've since used a different cleansing balm and it doesn't agitate the eyes or leave a film. I don't think I'll ever re-purchase this product; it's a miss for me.

It does the opposite of cleansing. It leaves a thick, greasy residue on your skin that doesn't come off easily. Wish I had tried it within 30 days of buying so I could return it.

It works and rinses clean and the packaging is cute and I like the idea of purple ginseng on my face but I hate the smell. It smells like cooking oil. It needs an earthy herbal ginseng smell like it implies.

I never write reviews but this stuff should not exist. My eyes are so irritated from using this, and it doesn’t even take makeup off. I am disapproved that I wasted 20$ on this trash.

My eyes have been itchy and irritated for a few weeks now and I am just realizing it’s from this balm. This does a poor job taking off my makeup, it doesn’t emulsify at all, I have to scrub and scrub and I still have mascara on my lashes. Def leaves your skin oily as well. Also sad to see frangrance on the ingredients. I really like the serum and moisturizer but this is a no from me. Very disappointed in this product

I rarely write reviews, but I feel pretty strongly about how much I dislike this product. It barely emulsifies, leaves a terrible residue on your face, and I feel like it takes ~2 washes to feel like it’s completely off. I also think it may be contributing to some new acne. Just terrible, don’t waste your $20.

Not sure if they changed the formula or what happened. This does not take all my eye make up off and feels/smells very plastic like. Leaves behind a lot of make up.

I absolutely loved this product, I have been using it for over two years. It's gentle and does the job. I stock up on it.

Very light yet effectively removes any traces of makeup. I like to rub it in and then use a makeup removing wipe to get everything out. It's a great product!

Does the job but burns the eyes so beware when you rub into your eye makeup, keep the peepers closed when washing it off

I used to love this product for double cleansing. I would start with the cleansing balm and finish with a gentle gel cleanser and my skin loved it! tested and tried so many cleansing oils and balm and this was my absolute favorite. HOWEVER.... I HATE the formula change that occurred this year. I was my face TWICE with gel cleanser after using the new cleansing balm and it it still leaves residue. My pores have become clogged and I'm starting to break out. I'm so disappointed and annoyed to have to go back on the hunt for a new product.

Wanted to love it but I can't. I love the fermented camelia cleansing oil so thought I'd give this a try, but this one is too sticky and takes a lot longer to wash off. I end up using my cleaner twice after using the cleansing balm because I feel like it's not all the way off my skin.

Being that I have oily skin I was skeptical about using an oil based cleanser/balm. However following the instructions of their routine builder I got it and I’m glad I did! It makes a major difference when using at night as the first step in double cleansing. My skin appreciates every time I use this first and then follow up with the gelee.
