  • A: Great question! The BISSELL Max Clean + Protect formula is made for carpet cleaning machines, not for laundry. We don’t recommend using it on clothing because it’s not formulated for fabrics and could affect colors or fibers. For laundry stains, it’s best to stick with products designed for clothes.

    Great cleaner recommend.

    The cleaner is very effective for Pet stains and odors I find it better than the OxiClean formula which leaves a residual odor regardless of the claim by whistle

The security seal was missing from the bottle, so I know that it had been previously opened. I didn't take it back because I couldn't prove that it wasn't opened by me.

    ProMax Carpet cleaner is good buy.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first purchased the CrossWave HydroSteam carpet cleaner and was pleased, but realized I probably wouldn't use the hardwood floor cleaning feature as much and wanted rug cleaner that had a bit more power as I have three indoor cats. I returned the CrossWave as it didn't have an attachment for carpeted stairs and difficult to manuever on stairs. I purchased the ProMax Clean. It was much better for my needs and easier to clean after use. It did a great job and didn't soak through my area rugs to the pad and new hardwood floors below. The only negatives are the shampoo is a bit expensive and I only get six cleanings from the special cleaning formula. I also had to purchase the stair attachment separately. Remember to get one if you have carpeted stairs. Otherwise, I am very happy with the ProMax machine and the sale price was very reasonable.

It has a clean smell and is not overpowering like some other carpet cleaners. I used the recommended amount and my carpets and throw rugs look clean & smell great.
