A: No, To use, squeeze liquid onto soiled area. If stain is still visible after 2 minute reapply. If needed, place brush head on the stain and spread liquid evenly with overlapping circular motions. Keep kids and pets off cleaned area until dry and vacuumed.

A: Hi Debbie. A machine isn't required for this product. You spray the area and use the built in brush. You can also use a deep cleaner after you spot clean the area if you wish, but not required.

A: It's best to check the cleaning code on your rug with the manufacturer. BISSELL formulas are good for W and WS fabrics. We do not recommend using BISSELL formula on S or X fabrics. We always recommend testing a small hidden area for color fastness. Do not use BISSELL products on velvet, silk, vinyl or leather upholstery.

This foamed up where they pet stain was. I used the brush on the spot on my carpet, blotted it with paper towel and after it dried I couldn't see where the stain was. The smell is fresh and not too strong. It was simple and it worked.

i’m giving this two stars for the simple fact of the price. With that being said, it did a decent job, removing the spot that I needed to be removed. However, the scent of urine was still pretty powerful even after using this item. I ended up having to go back and use baking powder and vinegar just to get rid of the scent of urine. If you want a quick spot treatment, this is great however it does not get rid of the smell.

Strips color on area where the stain was. I use this on my rug to clean pet hairballs or vomit. It pulls the stain out but lightens it too much too. It’s not a deal breaker but something to know about if you carefully .
