To help get a proper seal, make sure the open end of the bag is clean and completely dry, and that there are no wrinkles where it goes into the machine. Heavy Duty
The bags seem to work well. They are heavy duty, reusable and I haven't had a bag leak air into it. Very Nice. So far, I've only used the small size but I did order the larger ones too. Love them!

Not holding seal
I've been using these for years and loved them until they changed their seal. Now they won't hold the seal for more than a few hours up to a day. Being reusable, that seal should have been made much more durable and reliable. Very disappointed.

Check the zipper track — even a small bit of food residue, moisture, or a tiny misalignment can prevent the vacuum from holding. Wiping the zipper area completely dry before sealing often helps. 2. Press firmly along the entire zipper after closing to ensure both sides are fully locked together. These reusable bags require a bit more pressure than the older style. 3. Inspect the valve area for any crumbs or oils. A quick wipe with a clean, dry cloth can restore suction. 4. Avoid overfilling — leaving at least 2–3 inches of space above the food helps the handheld sealer pull a stronger vacuum. 5. Lay the bag flat in the freezer for the first hour after sealing. This helps the vacuum “set” and reduces early loss of suction. If the issue continues even after trying these steps, the bags may not be performing as intended, and we’d like to take a closer look. Built in a way that makes sealing impossible
Even after having been over the instructions over and over and over these don't stay sealed. I think I figured out the problem: When I run my fingers across the seal, it "pops" a little just like fabric that's gotten its grain a little messed up. I think the cross-hatch design gives the plastic a "grain" and, like sewn objects with a diagonal grain, the plastic just doesn't sit straight enough for the zippers to lie perfectly horizontal. They appear to seal at first, but there's apparently some tiny misalignment that lets air out over the next few days. Invested tons of time and money into cooking, freezing, and bagging and everything is coming unsealed, we have to reseal everything every few days. I'm sealing already frozen cubes of food, taking care to not let anything touch the zipper, I've even made sure to wipe the zipper with terry cloth, I use the little black thing, I check it over and over. I've had a wee bit of success taking one that keeps coming unsealed, and opening it and resealing it over and over until there's no "pop" when I run my pinched fingers across it. It takes on average 6 tries per bag, and even then isn't fully successful. Add to that, they don't reseal well once they've been turned inside-out (which I feel is crucial to sanitizing between uses, otherwise you could get water and bits of food growing in the inside crevices) ... Plus they're very hard to open lacking the "tab" in the middle like nicer freezer bags. They're really no better than plain zipper freezer bags which a person finagles into having no trapped air, in terms of ease of use and successful sealing, and the cost is astonishingly high.

Help!
Will these bags work with FM1100 thru FM1500… Just opened after quite a few yrs. Of receiving it… the number of bags included were 5! I need bags to fit this model and am not sure since I’ve never used… please tell me what type to get to order.

These newly designed bags use a new, black valve.
The newly designed black resealing valve is EXCELLENT. It holds the seal perfectly for days and days, so far. The bag material is also new and much more durable. The original clear plastic flimsy valve would leak over time and would fall off the bags in the freezer, sticking to other items or falling to the bottom of the chamber.

The best sandwich bag!
These bags work great. This is my second purchase of these bags. These bags do not wear out, but I have not seen these Reuseable Bags in their product line-up. So I took advantage of them being back in stock. I use 10 bags a week for about 6 years and only 2 have been replaced. Love them!
