Q: The height of the kitchen window is 40". Do the Roman shade extra pleats stack at the bottom when pulled down for privacy? Most of the time the roman shade will stay open.

A: Hi Sunny SC. The length of the Roman Shade is 64". If you stack the bottom two panels/pleats, the length will be around 43.5". That should be sufficient for height you require.

A: Dear Melissa. This Roman Shade is a bit translucent and you can see something from outside at night when the lights are on. I would recommend the blackout version if you require 100% privacy.

Great shade but rather transparent in the evening
Great design, slides well and compact when fully open. Cotton texture material that I am concerned would get grungy from touching over time. It is more transparent than I anticipated. I feared you could see through at night with the lights on so I swapped for the blackout option.

Great Roman Shades!
Great Roman shade for the price. Others are sometimes twice the price. The screws are cheap and prone to strip. Replaced with better quality to avoid the problem after installing the first set. Bright white and the light filtering is perfect. Room is so much brighter than with the old curtains. Windows look de cluttered now too. Love!

Pretty disappointed. The ones I recieved do not have a border and are just plain white, with no pattern. The photo online shows an abstract grey and white pattern with a white border. These are going back.

Better than Expected
For the price, I was expecting something that was flimsy or looked cheap, but did the job, however, these are quality roman shades! The white is a bright pure white, coverage is light filtering and they are very easy to install and operate. They look like the pictures and actually feel like they will last years. I'm very impressed and plan to order more of these.
