Q: Can you put fire glass in this instead of Lava Rocks?

A: I would make sure the glass fire rocks are rated to sit on the level of BTU’s of this chimenea.

Q: Can the back of this unit be right next to the house on a deck while running?

A: The back of the unit does not get hot, bur we do recommend that you keep it at least a couple feet from the house.

Q: dimensions on this unit say 28" tall, but I do not see that cuisenart makes this size & on their product page and other sites it states 48" tall. Can someone verify the height for me please? Thanks

Been using this for a few months. Worth every cent, we have it in our screened in patio. I love sitting by it on cold nights and mornings. It gets really hot, we can only have it on the lowest setting. Parts don’t fit together perfectly but it’s fine

The bar across the front does not fit tightly and separates when screwing it in. I taped it with aluminum tape, which is annoying. Screws are already rusting, has been outside for approximately 5 days. I would not buy this again, even on sale.

This is perfect for those chilly nights when you want to sit outside and relax under the stars. I like the feature if it tips over it automatically shuts off. I was a little intimidated by the big box but it wasn’t too hard to put together. I will definitely enjoy using this more often. After busy days at work it’s nice to relax.

This feels really sturdy and well put together. I like that it has a safety tip feature so that if it does fall over it turns off. I wish there was a cover over the stones though. Curious kids will learn quickly not to touch again but I would like it for when it is not running and the kids take off with the stones. Propane run so we can adjust the heat. I see a lot of use coming from this and so happy we got it!

I love that it has a tilt-safety feature, so if it is on and it’s tipped over, it goes out. Now that I have this,? I’m going to need to up the ante and buy better deck chairs as we plan to be out on the deck more. I can foresee many nights spent year-round relaxing and sipping our drinks. If I had one negative thing to point out, I’d suggest that it comes with an optional grate or door for people with little ones.

What i figured for a 40 minute project, turned into 2 hours, as my fat finger struggled with the wing nuts, and bending some of the pieces into better fit. the most disappointing piece of it all, is that the front bars dont fit to the dome correctly (see pics). once assembled this worked great! just wish i hadn't had such a bad assembly experience with this.

I love that you don't need to be skilled to build a fire to get some warmth on a lovely chilly evening. This will become a backyard staple for my family.

It's very easy to assemble and can be moved around with ease. It works with propane tanks and the heat is easily adjusted . This is one of those cant live without products.
