Q: Is my life a lie or am I part of a greater meme?

submitted by ERrnesST - 3 years ago
  • A: Life is a meme and we are all living it to the fullest

  • A: My family stayed up all night and checked every 30 minutes and called stores repeatedly to see what time they will go live. I finally see it come up and it is sold out! So much for quantity control!!!

    submitted byRdrig516 - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes I’m sure it is a bit of both. This world we live in seems to be nothing more than a illusion. Made by masters with only their joy in mind. But for one moment pull yourself out of the KNOW. And see the greatest event since Halo 3. People of all live rejoice today. WHILE PLAYING MY XBOX I CAN OPEN MY OTHER XBOX AND DRINK FROM IT!

Q: is it just me? or was this very poorly executed for purchase..?

submitted by harrypotter219 - 3 years ago
  • A: I saw some at my target store and I called them and they said that their restocking them every day.

submitted byAsh - 3 years ago
  • A: Woulda gone better if they just shipped them to actual target stores yeah

submitted byiJustWantFridgeMan - 3 years ago
  • A: They seem to have purposefully kept the "going live" time unannounced to combat the bots but, I can't imagine it was at all successful. Sold out in roughly 2 minutes. Surely Target felt they had plenty of product, if they went so far as to put it in their weekly ad. And yet....

submitted byUnreal - 3 years ago
  • A: Not just you! Poor indeed. Sad day.

submitted byBaaakaaa - 3 years ago
  • A: i fully agree. this was ridiculous and far too short. for them to supposedly be the only carrier for now this was quite short lived. welcome to bot world

    submitted byfastwheelman04 - 3 years ago
  • A: always is when you wanna release something cool and not include a captcha or any sort of bot/scalper defense

submitted byT - 3 years ago
  • A: Just because the website says they ae sold out doesn't mean its true, i just walked into the local target and they said they had them in the back ( this was on black Friday) and they brought me one, other stores in the area had them as well you just have to ask them to check in the back

submitted bylexluther - 3 years ago
  • A: It was executed perfectly, every target employee who heard about it bought them all and no one outside of target got one.

submitted by - 3 years ago
  • A: It was poorly executed to purchase because of bots -_-

submitted byChris - 3 years ago

Q: Did this really ever go live, or did it get listed after all the target employees put them in their own carts?

submitted by - 3 years ago
  • A: the page itself was opened up at around 8:20am CT, and at like 8:23 and 8:27ish the page showed "add to cart" for only a split second, but you couldn't actually add it to your cart you'd just get an error message. The actual pre-order went up at like 8:35 or 8:36 and stayed up for like 2 minutes at most. A big tip for ordering is to always use the apps instead of the website since they tend to be faster, and if you have an iPhone use Apple Pay. It lets you skip the checkout page entirely and makes it easier and quicker to order.

submitted byA - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, it went live. I was able to get one and got the confirmation email.

submitted byNot a scalper - 3 years ago
  • A: Got 1 with no problem for my lil boy

submitted byDewey - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes it did go live at 9:36am EST.. I managed to get one.

submitted byNotaBot - 3 years ago
  • A: That's honestly a great question. I never even saw it live.

submitted byBaaakaaa - 3 years ago

Q: when does the next drop happen I really want one does anyone know

submitted by poopypants474857 - 3 years ago
  • A: They’ve said, “For folks who missed the Target pre-order today, note that most units for this launch will be sold in store in December.” And “ While supplies will be limited this holiday it is NOT a limited edition product. We have more inventory coming early next year and will keep making more as we look to increase supply and available markets in 2022.” So DON’T buy them at resale prices. There are a lot more coming with more opportunities to get them, including in-store drops.

submitted byEvolutionOX - 3 years ago
  • A: I was told to keep checking regularly. Good way to generate a ton of traffic to their website. I have a theory that's why they didn't give us an exact time to preorder, either. They want the clicks.

submitted byGoldendexter - 3 years ago
  • A: According to Tom’s Guide, not until closer to the holidays, so around December

    submitted byXbox_mini_fridge - 3 years ago

Q: when did it go live i was to 2pm EST

submitted by Terris - 3 years ago
  • A: 9:36am EST is when I saw it go live.

  • A: I was on every 30 mins since midnight and when I seen it pop up it was sold out never even had the purchase now button!!!!

submitted byLcw - 3 years ago

Q: When did it go live? watch it’ll go on the after market for 300$ or more

submitted by Really11111 - 3 years ago
  • A: As of 10:00am EST there were hundreds on eBay for starting at $300. Mine was removed from my cart as I was paying for it.

Q: Does the new batch have the same quality issues as the original (black friday) batch? Or have some of the defects been fixed?

submitted by d9988 - 2 years ago
  • A: I purchased this as a Christmas gift on Dec. 23, 2022. It never worked. The front "Xbox" light came on, but that was it. Never kept anything cold. Don't waste your money.

Q: does it keep sodas cold

submitted by bobby - 2 years ago
  • A: It cools the drinks to 36F or 20C below ambient (your external room temperature) due to the design of the cooling. The actual beverage cooling will fluctuate with room temperature.

submitted bysldwaa - 2 years ago
  • A: yes it keeps your drinks cold at 32 degrees

The fridge does exactly what it is meant to do. It sits motionless and quiet while keeping my beer cold all the while giving me a superb meme factor sense of entertainment. If the fridge was a person, it would be that one friend that you would know who would never let you down.

Bought beginning of 2023, worked great, aside from all the condensation it produced. Beginning of 2024 and it crapped out completely, no power, no lights, nothing at all. Definitely nice to look at but for longevity, just save your money and buy something else.

Top Lights Already Turned Off After 1hr And Fridge Isn't Cool Enough To Cool Drinks!

Bought it and set it up. Within the first hour, the top green lights already turned off and doesn't turn back on. The fridge doesn't get cool enough to cool drinks. It's more of an aesthetic feel but with the lights turned off, there's really no point of even having it.

I bought the Xbox mini fridge because it was super cute ! Im a gamer ! As soon as we plugged it up in less than 10 minutes it was already dripping water inside at the top . Not worth it because it says you can’t keep it plugged up for long what’s the point of buying a mini fridge for my room to keep my drinks cold if you can’t keep it plugged up all the time ???

Cool concept. Loved the design. Purchased as a Christmas gift. It's now Jan 11th and it's warming up drinks instead of cooling! Some people complained that it didn't last a year, I would have been ok with a year. Mine didn't even last a month! And of course I threw away the box because I had no intention to return it. So disappointed 😞

No auto shutoff—fried after overuse

2 out of 5 stars
Plastic Paradise - 5 months ago
originally posted on Ukonic
So… I left it on for a really long time, maybe a few weeks or a month, and it just died. Now it just blinks. For something this sensitive to long term use, it should come with an auto-shutoff or something to prevent a burnout. Alas. My personal fridge is dead. Also, it seems impossible to get into it. Taking the screws out only releases the door from the hinges and slightly opens the plate keeping the contents of the fridge from touching the heat exchanger. But even that will not come off, so I cannot really get in there to see what might be burned out to fix it.

Would not recommend. The fridge broke after a year. I bought it 11/2022 it’s not 12/2023. Warranty for the manufacture is 90 days and from target is 30 days after purchase. Read the other reviews no one is getting a solution. Target needs to pull these from the shelves it’s terrible that they are selling this during Christmas time do not fall for it!!!
