The wood on this piece is beautiful! The assembly instructions are diagrammatic and carefully drawn. All the parts are labeled a letter or a number. If you pay close attention to the instructions, you'll succeed with the assembly. For full disclosure, I am a woman in my sixties. Assemblying the piece with a screwdriver hurt my hands. I had to stop halfway through and let my hands recover for two days before finishing the assembly. Also, the piece is light in weight. The manufacturer admits that it might tip over if a child pulled on it. They include hardware for attaching the table to a wall. They also recommend that you do NOT use the table as a television stand. It is just not heavy enough. Overall, though, quite nice!
