Q: How can this be a coffee mug, but the description says "do not use with hot beverages" and "not safe for dishwasher". Is this true?

  • A: As described in the product description, this item is dishwasher safe but is not for use with boiling hot beverages. We recommend not pouring boiling liquid directly into the mug in order to prevent potential breakage from thermal shock. We recommend only using this product with warm beverages.

not 16 oz

These are not 16 oz mugs. I carefully measured the volume capacity of my favorite glass mugs and hoped to buy some of equal capacity but when I received these they seemed smaller so I checked and they are only 15 oz--and, yes, that makes a difference to me plus I dislike misrepresentation.

Nice design, sloppy execution

I was pleased with the design and size of the mugs. Not so happy with the "fit n finish". The mold lines were rough all the way around the handle. Of the four in the set, only one feels comforable to my hand. I'll use 'em, but they won't be the "favorite" mugs I was hoping they would be.

Impressive Glass Mugs

Very nice mugs, be it for beer, soda, or iced coffee. A bit heavier than expected, but that makes them harder to knock over by accident. Quality made.

Elegant and versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most versatile and satisfying drinking glasses I've ever owned. Its so satisfying drinking my hot chocolate with the whipped fluff sprinkled with cocoa in these clear glasses. The grandkids love to use a frosty cup from the freezer dipping the rim in a colored sugar with the crushed ice and fruity drinks or ice water with the fruit slices. It's so neat seeing these in the clear glasses. I love how thick they are.very sturdy! Being able to use with warm or cold drinks is so versatile. These are always the first ones reached for in my drinking glasses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used these for beer mugs straight out of the freezer. Nice and sturdy, good handle for beer drinking. Not your standard beer mug but I thought it was a nice touch for entertaining family. Simple but good quality and the price is right. Another great Libbey set for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t know why drinking coffee out of a clear glass makes it taste that much better. It must be because I can see all of the beautiful layers. These cups are stunning and very well made. They are heavy without being too heavy to comfortably hold. I have gotten so many compliments on these cups. I also love how beautifully they display above my coffee bar.

I love serving fancy coffee drinks and cold fruity drinks as they show off well in the clear glass. I always prefer to have handles on my drink ware, so these are perfect for me! Definitely recommend!
