  • A: from what I've gathered from Gracos website, all of their car seats EXCEPT for ones with separate bases(infant carriers) are compatible with inflatable seatbelts. I had the exact same question.

  • A: Not sure why Graco is misinforming customers, but I just bought and installed this- it absolutely DOES have a back tether! It does have the option to install with a seatbelt instead of their latch strap, it’s possible the Graco expert is trying to say that maybe the seatbelt installation might not require using the back tether?

Q: Does the cover come off in parts, in case there is a pee accident, can just the seat cover come off or does the whole seat cover need to be removed?

  • A: The seat cover has separate parts for the back and the bottom! But… the cover that would get peed on has loops that attach in the back of the car seat, so you’d have to unhook the entire seat to take the pad off

doesn't recline

ref. my toddler is 3.5yrs weight 43lb bought this specifically because I needed something that reclines and that would grow with her.. carseat doesnt recline enough, only the bottom seat lifts up, not the back..if she sleeps I have to stop and recline the suv seat so her head wont fall down.. thank God my seat reclines, I hate to see my daughter head tilted..

Nice overall, except for the cupholders

Easy to install. The tilt feature is really nice. My grandson seems comfortable in it but we only drive short distances so he’s not in it very long. Padding seems thin but adequate for our use. The only downfall with this car seat is the cup holders come unattached very easily and often, and as a result we somehow lost one.

Overall experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was very easy. Besides following the instruction manual, there are also helpful installation videos available on YouTube. Overall, the car seat looks safe and comfortable. The fabric feels soft, although my niece tends to sweat easily, so it can get a little warm during the summer. However, with the air conditioning on, it hasn't been a major issue. Since this car seat doesn't have extremely deep side bolsters, I think it may be a better fit for slightly older children who prefer a roomier seat. A couple of things I wish could be improved: the side headrest padding feels a bit firm and doesn't have as much cushioning as I expected. Also, there are only two crotch buckle positions. Having one additional position would provide more flexibility. My 5-year-old niece is already using the outermost slot, and when she wears a fluffy dress, the buckle area can feel quite snug. She has occasionally mentioned that it feels a little tight and uncomfortable. That said, for this price point, I really appreciate that this is a 3-in-1 car seat with a steel-reinforced frame. The overall safety design gives me peace of mind, and I feel confident keep using it.

Still recommend but I HATE these cup holders

I love this car seat. BUT from day 1 if I would have known how horrible these cupholders are I wouldn't have gotten it. My son us autistic and he needs his cuphokders. They pop off so easily and he gets so mad and the soda or milk spills everywhere. I really like this carseat. Unfortunately im going to have to ask my dad to drill a hole from the cupholder into the booster seat part. Which I dont want to do since it will make it look ugly and im worried about the safety feature. I cant afford another carseat and its brand new. the 3 stars are directed towards the cupholders. If my son was a little more understanding then I wouldnt find the cupholders a problem. Since it is him, I am living in a little cupholder nightmare. 😅 Still recommend but I HATE these cupholders.

Awesome Seat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the seat when my 3-year-old was ready to be forward facing. The seat she had was very difficult to strap her in and I didn't want to spend the rest of her time in a car seat fighting with buckles. This car seat was so easy to install, it doesn't take up too much space, she's super comfortable in it, and best of all she's easy to strap in. I loved this seat so much that I bought another one for the other car. Highly recommend!

It was super easy to put together, and even easier to install! So easy, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it just to show my friend how easy it is! The harness moves super smooth, and adjusts nicely. My kiddo loves this seat. She's super excited that she has armrests like mommy. 100% recommend! Will be getting a second one when our next child moves to forward facing!

Uncomfortable

My 3 year old hates this car seat. He screams every time he wakes up from a nap because both of his legs are asleep. Switched to the graco extend2fit with no complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this seat honestly I would have rated it five stars it’s versatile, my son says he is so comfy in it. It’s slim and fits well in all of our cars. Graco is one of the safest brands I know of and honestly installation is easy as can be. The only issue I had which took a star away we had a slight hole in the fabric upon arrival I don’t know if it got cut during production or what but the hassle of sending in all of the proof is more of a pain to me than having the tiny tear in it it’s just a bummer that it came like that.

I had the original version of this seat and loved it. When I had a wreck I replaced it with this seat as well as my other child’s E2F. They changed something about them and the cup holders won’t stay on. They lock in but then my kids barely bump them and they are off. Sometimes just the cup being sat in them knocks them off. Otherwise i like them
