Q: Can this be placed in a sterilizer?

submitted by Mel - 1 month ago
  • A: Hello Mel, thank you for your question. We recommend cleaning the parts in warm, soapy water after each use. To disinfect the parts, we recommend placing the parts into a pot with enough water to make sure they are covered. Please ensure they do not come in contact with the bottom or sides of the pot. The parts can be boiled up to 5 minutes. If you have any other questions, please send an email to wecare@lansinoh.com. Thank you.

Don’t buy. The pumps doesn’t have an airtight seal so it Leaks horribly, doesn’t hold a charge, is heavy so it slips down from the nipple causes leaking, the battery is so huge you can’t see if your nipple is getting sucked, absolutely frustrating to use. You’ve been warned.

Although it has great suction and is comfortable. These are meant to be for hands free, doing things around your house and convenient, don't bend over trying to pick anything up or load/unload your dishwasher. Your hard earned milk will pour right out all over the place... I bent over to pick up my baby, and it just went everywhere including him, and that really upset him!

They’re okay. They slide and when they do it doesn’t pull milk out. I’ve had to return a pair because one stopped suctioning.
1 reply from Lansinoh Team team - 10 days ago
Hello Janissa, When using our Wearable Pump, we recommend pumping in an upright position—whether sitting or standing—and ensuring proper nipple alignment for optimal comfort and performance. For added support and to keep the pump securely in place, we suggest trying a hands-free pumping bra, such as our new Kindred Bravely for Lansinoh Nursing & Wearable Pumping Bra. This bra is designed to provide the right compression and stability, enhancing your overall pumping experience.

I love this pump and the overall ease and use of it, but I DO NOT love the battery life. For the first few uses I had no issues, now a month in, and they will be fully charged, I will go to pump, and the red light turns on and they immediately start with loss of suction and eventually die. Not happy!!!!

DO NOT BUY! I bought this for my DIL for her baby shower. Baby was born a month and half later. No use until then. She used it twice after baby was born and it stopped working. Turns on no suction. After back and forth emails with company for weeks. They send her replacement and used 2-3 times and the same thing happens. Super unreliable for working mother.

I got this pump with my insurance and wish I used it on a different pump. Does not get all my milk out always having to use my hands. Thought maybe changing flange sizes would work and ended up trying all 4 and still hurts. One also sounds different than the other. It is extremely frustrating to clean and dry because if it’s not dried correctly it won’t work. One of the pieces won’t fit correctly on pump. Once you change the flange sizes milk will always leak through between the 2 pieces. The only thing I like about it is it being hands free. I trusted this brand because one of my friends raved about own do their pumps. Still having to use it because I can’t get/afford a different pump

I love these pumps! I have had them for about a month so far and they have been a huge improvement compared to my old mom cozys! I had the m5 mom cozys and i had to struggle with if both sides would pump correctly or get any milk out at all, and so far the lansinoh pumps haven't had any issues for me. Pros - These pumps suction really easy, they dont have to be put exactly right in order to work like some other pumps. The suction is easy to change as you go with the buttons on top. I pump 3 times a day while I am at work, and the batteries last all 3 pumps just fine with some charge to spare and then i plug them in every night. The parts are super easy to clean, there are only 4 parts. The 2 outside connectors and two inside pieces. Super easy to get the milk out after pumping. Also the pumps can hold up to 8oz, and i thought I would never be able to get that much because my old pumps never got even close to that. But I have had 1 or 2 times where these lansinoh pumps were able to get 8 oz out of one side so I know these are super good pumps. Cons - The parts can be a little hard to get together and a little hard to take apart. The two outer pieces have to be forced together and you hear a click. I bet the people that say it leaked, didn't fully click them together. I do have to put a crazy amount of force to get them together, but they work so good after, that it is easy to overlook. And by them clicking i know they wont leak. Also they aren't quiet at all, so I dont think I would be pumping in public or at work, but I work from home so it isn't an issue for me. Overall I love these pumps, and i'm glad I took a chance on them. I wish I had them sooner in my pump journey for the piece of mind they give me.

I’d do 0 stars if I could. This “works” but not well. I exclusively pump and really need a pump that is reliable and this one is not. Often will just not “pump” on one side, and I am pretty sure the pump parts shrunk in dishwasher.
1 reply from Lansinoh Team team - 26 days ago
Hello Drew, We are sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with your Wearable Breast Pump. When wearing our Wearable Pump, we recommend pumping in an upright position, sitting, or standing, and maintaining correct nipple alignment. This is key for comfort and performance. The pump may be adjusted within a bra as needed to get the right compression and maintain an effective pumping experience. If the alignment of the pump is moved, the breast pump will not have suction. If this does not fix your problem, please send an email to wecare@lansinoh.com and a member of our Consumer Affairs team will be happy to assist you. Thank you.

I used my insurance to get this pump since I love other products from Lansinoh. I love how easy the parts are to clean and that the parts are not microscopic like some pumps. It was WONDERFUL for the first week I was using it. On to the second week of using it and it worked properly for my pumping session on my drive to work, but when I used it on my lunch break for my second session, one of the pumps would not work properly. One would still be on and sounding like it is working correctly, but would not be pulling any milk out and I know there was plenty of milk to be pulled out. On to my third week of having it and the same issue is happening, but now when on one of the settings, it just pumps super quickly with almost zero actual suction. I am now on my 4th week of using it and one of the pumps would not pull any milk out this morning on my drive to work. I charged BOTH last night so they had a full charge, all the parts were 100% dry, it was assembled correctly, every thing was lined up right with my nipple, and my breasts were very full so I have no idea why it is doing this. Really wishing I had gone with a different hands-free pump, but I am an over-producer and loved that these cups hold more milk than the other ones I was looking at.

I got this pump really optimistic. At first I had really high output and ok battery life. About 3 weeks in, I started to have issues with the plastic cups. They clip together and the more I took them apart and put them back together, the more a little plastic burr developed in the cup and it actually cut my nipple. I would smooth it back down but it always came back. I eventually stopped using that cup and did one breast at a time and I only used these pumps for work or if I was in the car. Then at 4 months, one of the motors stopped charging correctly. The. At 5 months, the other cup started doing the same thing as the first cup. So overall, pumping is stressful enough. You shouldn't have to worry that your pump is going to make you bleed or randomly die when it was on the charger all night.

There were so many things to like about this pump... minimal pieces, large cup capacity, several flange sizes included. However milk keeps getting pumped into the motor through the small spout. I am so careful and assemble it perfectly but milk keeps ending up on the inside. I'm sure at this point mold is growing in there. The first few uses of this pump were amazing but it doesn't seem to be working out for me for long term.

New Parts Literally Made me Cry over Spilled Milk

lolarae - 1 month ago
I originally got this pump through my insurance at the beginning of the year. I’ve been using it since I had my son in February and had I written this review 3 months ago, it would have been 5 stars. The problem is, I’m coming up on 7 months postpartum and noticed the pump wasn’t emptying me like it used to so I knew I probably needed to go ahead and replace the whole system (I had already replaced the original parts at the 3 month mark). I saw they were selling it at Target and got super excited since it’s been sold out on their website. When I got it home, I realized that the pump parts are different. A piece that used to be a click on is now attached to another piece. This made for a less than ideal seal and I was super skeptical when I put it together. Long story short, after my pump session, I went to remove my milk into the bottles only to have the milk leak out of the little air spout because again, these pieces do not click together tightly like the old version did. See picture for said spilled milk. As someone who is now a “just enougher” every single drop counts and I’m so upset that I now need to find a new pump halfway through my breastfeeding journey when this one had been so great for me up until now. Why would you change a whole system that women rely on to feed their babies? Mind blowing and truly messed up. And these expensive pumps are non-refundable. This is literal robbery. Target needs to stop selling this pump and stealing money and milk from mothers. Oh and Lansinoh responded to my review on their website by telling me I don’t know how to put the parts together properly when I’ve been using this pump for almost 7 months now with no issues until I was forced to purchase this “new and improved” version. Save you money and your sanity ladies.

Hello Olgapumps, we are sorry to hear about your experience. We’re glad to hear the suction worked well for you initially. To ensure optimal performance, it's important to regularly monitor and maintain your pump, especially to prevent milk from entering the machine as this can cause permanent damage. Following the care instructions can help avoid these issues. If you have any questions or need assistance, please send an email to wecare@lansinoh.com. Thank you.
