Q: How wide is the actual book shelf area? I have a printer that is 18" across, want to make sure it will fit.

A: Each shelf measures W36.5 x D24 cm (about 14.4 x 9.4 inches) with a height of 21.5 cm (8.5 inches) between them. An 18-inch printer may not fit.
