Description
Totem is an award-winning design that combines all your waste and recycling in one compact unit. It features two compartments arranged vertically, which saves space and makes them very easy to fill and empty. Each compartment has a removable bucket that can be fitted with a single standard liner for general waste or two smaller bags, using the integrated bag hooks, for separating different types of recycling. Breather vents in the bucket sides make removing a full liner easier. Totem also features a ventilated odor filter in the main lid that helps reduce moisture and odor build up from waste. The design comes with a 3-litre (0.8 US Gallon) removable food waste caddy that can be stored in either compartment, or on the worktop. Stylish, practical and durable, Totem is available in two sizes – Totem Max (60 litres/15.8 US Gallons) and Totem Compact (40 litres/10.5 US Gallons). Custom-fit liners for the main compartments and compostable liners for the food waste caddy are available separately, as are replaceable odor filters. Stainless-steel versions feature a fingerprint-proof coating, whilst other models feature an easy-clean powder-coated steel finish. Choose the right custom-fit liner: IW2 and IW7.

Brilliant bin.
Brilliant bin. Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Perfect for one person. Love the small food recycling bin that fits in the corner of the top bin and can be easily removed to be placed on worktop when preparing food. Bottom bin rolls out smoothly for putting in recycling. Best looking bin I’ve ever had.

Ideal
This bin is ideal for me. My new apartment has a small, open-plan kitchen. I was struggling to find a solution to take both general waste and recycling. It holds a surprising amount of both, whilst looking neat and smart. Also like the general waste part being high so don't have to bend down to scoop things into it. I'm very pleased with it. Thought it was expensive but in this case I think you get what you pay for.

A good buy

Ideal, good size
I am extremely pleased with this bin, it holds more than I anticipated and fits neatly into the space I had for it. The orange caddy ( which I thought I’d discard as I use a larger work top caddy) is ideal for the soft plastic recycling that goes to the supermarket , and again holds more than expected. The recycling bin is very easy to empty Not a cheap purchase but having spent a lot over the years on bins that were “ not quite right” I feel it is good value.

Fantastic 3-in-1 bin
We have purchased many Joseph Joseph products over the years, and have always found them to be creatively designed and of a high quality. The Totem Compact 40l does not disappoint; although compact it has plenty of storage for general waste, food waste and recycling, all in one sleek unit. We had an issue with our order, but the Customer Service team were really easy to work with, and they resolved the issue very quickly-thank you.

I have had so many comments from friends about my new bin and everyone has said what a great idea. No recycling hanging around my kitchen everything now in one place, so easy to use and keep clean as everything is washable which is a bonus. Also extremely well made and and material of the interior bins very durable, the fact that your normal bin is on top with the recycling bin underneath is more practical. The recycling bin is also on wheels which makes it super easy to move around. I would recommend everyone to have one in their kitchen as it is a great item to have and nice design.

Lovely looking bin and it’s fabulously practical and well built. I do not use the organic one on the top rubbish bin, instead I put it with the recycling to collect all the aluminium foils and tins. The bags provided are too tight a fit, I do not like that and will not purchase again. But the bin itself is perfect and worth every penny, especially the odour filters! Perfect for one person or a couple.
