Best Espresso Beans. Dont Listen to the Negativity.
Whoever left one star reviews clearly didn’t manage to get their beans dialed in. Or they didn’t care to. This is BY FAR my favorite espresso roast. It provides the most complex flavor, with such a nice chocolaty toned finish, it’s absolutely perfect for espresso (more specifically for cappuccinos). As long as you’re making it right, these beans are incredible.

Smooth for a dark roast
I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews! I’m usually not a dark roast person, but this is so smooth and easy to drink. I grind the beans fresh at home and brew my espresso black with an espresso machine, and it’s great every time. The crema isn’t super thick, but the flavor more than makes up for it — rich, bold, but not bitter. Really good stuff and definitely worth a try if you like a smooth, flavorful espresso!

Should have listened to the reviews! 1 star is overrated. I love trying the different coffee brands Target offers.. but this coffee is equivalent to bad gas station coffee brought out of desperation. YUCK! 🤢

Over roasted suboptimal beans. Horrible espresso experience.
I'll be blunt. This harshly over roasted bean tastes burnt, smoky, and bitter, lacking the rich, balanced flavors of a well-roasted bean. The fact that this is a "blend" should have alerted me that these could be b-grade beans of various flavors, roasted so hard that it smells rich on the surface, yet yields an undrinkable espresso pull. Skip this one.

Dark roast is an understatement
I was so excited to try this when I saw it at target, it’s been on my list forever! I am so disappointed. Unsure if I got a faulty batch, but genuinely the worst espresso I’ve ever had. Tasted like diner coffee in an espresso. The bag has a resealable top, mine was attached upside down and only on one side of the bag… so broken and unusable. The coffee itself is a VERY dark roast, tastes almost charred and burnt. I’m a fan of stumptown and intelligentsia, for comparison, so if dark roasts are not your thing do not try this. If there were any notes of caramel, chocolate and peanuts they were burnt away long ago.

Great Quality
Works very well with our Breville machine, and tastes delicious! We’ve tried so many other brands, and very few have been this memorable. The price is slightly higher but it’s worth it — still less expensive than daily coffee shop visits!
