Poor quality and customer service...avoid
This is a 2 year use review. Be aware the warranty on this Open Story backpack is 1 year. Although it is listed on the Target website description, nowhere on the Open Story product label is this explicitly stated. After 2 years of part-time use for overnight business trips, one of the shoulder straps is starting to pull out of where its attached on the bottom of the backpack. I've owned numerous backpacks over 45+ years and never had this happen. If this wasn't bad enough, I attempted to reach out to Open Story via the email listed on their website. I sent an email 4 times checking the email provided each time. The email address is not valid and kicks back as invalid and undeliverable. Furthermore, Open Story doesnt have a phone number listed either. I contacted Target customer service and advised them of the situation. Target advised the warranty is expired so there's nothing they will do and instead provided me the email address for Open Story I had already told them doesnt work. So Target is selling a poor quality product from a manufacturer who cannot be contacted even if the item was stiĺl under warranty. I recommend staying away from these Open Story backpacks and other products for the quality and customer service issues noted above.

Don’t waste your money. I’ve gotten this bag twice and they have both ripped. Coincidentally both ripped right after a year. Right after the return policy. That’s suspicious.

The most amazing backpack!
I want to say that this backpack was such a lifesafer back in 2023. I had gotten married in Vegas and my mom was suppose to bring back with her my wedding dress and other items but didnt so I had basically little space for my items during my mini-moon. I ended up buying this backpack in Glendale Mall (LA). I took a change with it and I was BLOWN AWAY with how spacious this backpack is. I have since taken it to NY, DC and various parts of FL. 100/100 I would recommend not only this product but any other Openstory item.

this could be the pefect This backpack would be the perfect carryon had it not been for low-quality craftsmanship. I love the amount of pockets, the large volume capacity and overall functionality. There are pockets for clothing, shoes, wet, personal, and computer items, etc. After 3 trips, this bag is starting to tatter and I am going to return it. If it were the Jansport brand, it would be amazing. I still have my Jansport from 1992, not 1 rip, tear or defect.

Love this Bag
I absolutely love this bag and it’s always my go-to while traveling, I use the gray one for my international travel and my green one for my domestic travel. It has so much space and so many zippers. It has never failed me. Only thing I wish it had was a water bottle holder! But overall love this bag.

Not good for Checked Luggage
I love this bag for weekend trips where I am the only one handling the bag, and it even worked for a carryon in the overhead storage bin of a plane. Only dissatisfaction is that when my plane was overbooked and the overhead storage was full, this bag was checked and returned to me with a small tear in the seam. This was only its first time getting checked, so I expected it to perform better. If you think this may end up getting checked, or handled not so gently, I would not purchase. If it had not been so long between buying this and actually bringing it on a plane, I would return it. I have beat up cheaper bags and they still have no damage unlike this one which ripped after one manhandling. I like the layout of the bag, just wish it held up better

Ripped twice
I would not suggest this bag. I used it for carrying a couple notebooks and a Chromebook and it ripped twice. The first time the strap tore off the second time the back of the main pocket tore. I got a replacement after the strap tore thinking it was a fluke.
