Q: Can you wash this rug?

  • A: Care fot the Liora Manne Capri area rugs collection. Vacuum regularly. Do not use beater brush. If long ends appear do not pull. This is not a defect. It is a normal occurrence in hand tufted rugs and is easily remedied using scissors to trim the sprouted section even with the rug. Sponge spots clean. To clean full rug, gently rinse with a solution of mild detergent and water. Hose rug clean, lift off ground and allow to dry thoroughly. Reducing exposure to rain and moisture will prolong rug life. Use of a non-skid rug pad is highly recommended to prevent slippage, as well as for added comfort, rug longevity and floor protection.

CHILD HAZARD - Target Safety & Quality Unaccountable

DON’T buy this rug. Unless you want Target Safety & Quality team to tell you that your infant almost chocking on the pilled fiber isn’t a hazard. Put this rug in my child’s nursery. It wasn’t used for the first 4 months of life. After moving my infant into their nursery, the rug began to pill immediately. After 3 months of my child sleeping in their nursery (no shoes in our home - socks and bare feet only), the rug became pilled so badly that my infant was able to grasp enough carpet fiber and almost put it into their mouth. I contacted Target quality and safety team TWICE. Once, no return phone call. Second time, I was told because my child didn’t receive medical attention, Target would not consider it a safety issue. Disappointed, disgusted and displeased. The safety of a child is not a concern for Target.
