Good Earth Sweet and Spicy Herbal & Black Tea Caffeine Free - Case of 6/18 Bags

This past year, I have been unable to find a box of sweet & spicy tea that (caffeine or caffeine free version) that actually has ANY flavor. I don't know what happened to this tea formulation, but someone has clearly changed this tea for the worst. I'm trying to finish the most recent box I purchased (definition of insanity, I guess...keep repeating the same thing over and over again, hoping for a different result!) and it is nearly impossible to drink without at least 2 tea bags steeping for 15 minutes to illicit any modicum of spicy flavor. I am so sad about this. And from the sound of the other reviews posted on this site, (also tons of reddit threads) many people are just as frustrated by this change as I am. If anyone on the The Good Earth customer service team actually reads these messages, PLEASE CONSIDER your consumer feedback. I will be seeking out different brands entirely because my hope that I will actually find a box of tea with flavor has officially worn out.

The Decaf Sweet and Spicy has been my absolute favorite tea for years - delicious and unique fragrance and flavor! But some time ago it seems the recipe was changed because it just does not have the same fragrance/flavor that it had in the past - it is blander. I try to order only the one labeled “decaf Original” but more often than not I receive the wrong one - either the “organic” (which should not be called sweet and spicy bc it’s def not at all the same!) or the new iteration of the sweet and spicy. So I must say I’m disappointed - I miss the original decaf Sweet and Spicy!!

This tea used to be spicier and I like it much better - I now have to use more tea bags to get the same spiciness.

I’ve been buying this, my favorite tea for over 10 years. This is the second or third time I’ve received a bad batch. By bad I mean totally different from the usual. Weak. Little flavor or aroma. Their quality control is so inconsistent

I should have googled reviews before purchasing. ALL companies are money hungry nowadays with bad products.

I don't know what changed but this tea tastes nothing like the original. It is neither spicy nor sweet, it is just... brown water. Expensive brown water. Sorry Good Earth but I've found another brand that actually tastes like what I used to like from the last 20 years of drinking Good Earth.

Something has changed. The delicious sweet and spicy tea I have loved for years seems a flat, pale version of what it was. I've tried numerous boxes from local stores and direct from the company. I'm not sure what's changed, but please go back to the original blend.

I love this tea, however, I’m moving to only consuming organic food and beverages so will be looking for a new brand once this is used up. With the name Good Earth you would think the tea would be certified organic.

We need to know what you have changed. Why does it taste so bland now? I have tried 4 different boxes in the last 2 months and they are all terrible. Let your customers know why it’s different and quite frankly awful! So bland.

Rooibos tea is the base for the caffeine free sweet and spicy, and I love it. The flavor is delicious, its like a treat. I would recommend.

This tea used to be delicious. I have bought two packages within the past 2 months and they have no flavor. I am so disappointed this used to be the best tea ever. Get it together please

If I could rate ZERO, I would.This used to be my absolute favorite tea, the taste and smell! Not anymore!! Bought some after the Panama Canal fiasco and it WAS NOT good. I thought perhaps it was stale. I just bought more yesterday, rushed home to enjoy---and it tasted like weak, flavored water-absolutely nothing like my beloved tea that I willing shared with coworkers because they could smell it and see how much I was enjoying. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL TASTE AND FLAVOR! You had a treasure.

I've been drinking Good Earth Caffeine Free for decades, and am heartbroken that the formula seems to have been altered. It's so disappointing to spend money on what has traditionally been a flavorful and unique product, only to learn that the quality is extremely poor, and the flavors nothing short of terrible! I will never purchase this tea again, unless the original recipe is brought back to the shelves.

Super disappointed with the Sweet and Spicy tea we have bought as.of late. It's so weak, flavorless. We remember this being unique and strong flavored, our fave for a hot toddy. Its pretty lacking.

Love this tea...have been using it since the late 90"s.

In our last two years of ordering, this tea has been just as good as it was 20 years ago at Good Earth restaurants here in the South Bay Area. However, in our latest shipment the formula has obviously been weakened… still drinkable but far less flavorful than it’s ever been. So sad to see this all-too-common profit-driven stupid decision watering down the best, most flavorful tea we’d ever found.

I used to love this tea at the Good Earth restaurants back in the day. I was remembering this tea recently and found a box for sale. It was everything I remembered, cinnamony sweet and spicy. I bought a few more boxes and the same great flavor. But then I bought a few more boxes and - nothing. Bland. No sweet, no spicy. What happened? What's missing? Please bring this tea back to its former glory. It's truly unique and delicious, there's nothing else like it out there. Please don't cut corners. It really was my happy comfort tea, but now it's just disappointing. I'm probably going to try to make my own with some cinnamon oil or extract. Hope you bring this tea back to its original cinnamon sweet and spicyness. Thanks!
