Out with the old. I used La Mer for decades, but in my mid-40s, during perimenopause, I’ve become more aware of endocrine disruptors in skincare. I was disappointed to learn that, despite its steep price, La Mer is not a clean brand. As someone who has battled hormonal imbalance and fibroids for years, I assumed premium meant safer ingredients—unfortunately, it didn’t. I’ve since moved to OSEA,I’m not sure what the hype is about with this body oil. There’s so much buzz around it, but for me, it just felt like it sat on my skin rather than absorbing. Perhaps it’s the Chicago heat, Perhaps I should have applied it immediately after showering for better results. I’ll keep experimenting with different application methods, but for now, I’d give it three stars.

I am so glad this fragrance free version is available! My skin can be super sensitive and it's eczema prone, it needs a lot of TLC and this oil is excellent for this. I layer this over the fragrance free lotion on dryer parts of my body. Perfection.

This body oil makes your skin glow. It goes on like oil, but it is not greasy, and it does not leave any marks on clothing. I like to put it on before I go to the pool, even though I will put sunblock on top of it. I feel that it’s protecting my skin from the chlorine. I also put it on every day, especially when I’m wearing something that bares my legs.

Osea is the best oil I have ever used. Worth every penny. I was told once by a premier plastic surgeon (I’m a retired OR nurse) that seaweed extracts were one of the few things that could penetrate the skin barrier. Below is a picture of my seventy one year old skin. Pardon the scars.
