Love it! I picked this up for my 9 year old daughter, and she and her friend have spent hours working on it. The design is perfect for kids - the white paper is cut into pieces so they can remove one piece at a time, and then the board underneath is sticky so that the sand sticks directly to it. The kit comes with a tray so sand doesn't get everywhere, and the bottles don't spill even when knocked over. I am actually shocked at how non-messy it is. Definitely an activity for older kids, but these two 9 year old girls loved it so much they have come back to it and worked on their mandalas multiple days and asked for more. Great great item!

Great craft!! Definitely try it.
This is a well made craft that lives up to expectations. Most boxed crafts are disappointing. This one was easy to use and very low mess. If the sticker gets stuck, just use the stick to gently pull it apart. Don’t be deterred if it takes a minute to learn. Very little kids might be better having a parent help them remove the stickers. My daughter is older and had no trouble. We got to learn about Diwali and spend an hour doing a tactile and beautiful craft with no paint or mess. I enjoy the sand very much and doing something fun with her. She loved it and we picked up a second box- there’s infinite color possibilities so you can definitely do it again.

This was an awesome kit!! There was more than enough sand to generously complete the designs. Removing the stickers and applying the sand was easy and fun. All of the supplies tools work really well. I normally don't write reviews but this kit was excellent and the finished crafts look professional! I am so happy I found this for my daughter and I to do this Diwali craft together. Also kudos to target for having a growing Diwali collection!

Skip this kit!!
This is an impossible kit to use - do not buy. The wooden stick doesn’t help get the sticky pieces up (I used tweezers) and the sand does not come out easily out of the tubes (the hole is too small). We did 1 very small section and gave up. Save your money!

Loved this! Younger kids will need help peeling the stickers but my four year old was able to make her own rangoli with a little help. It’s much easier to clean up than traditional floor rangoli!! So happy to see products like these at target to help us celebrate our culture!
