Strong scent
I like all the different Dawn Power washes except this one because the smell is too strong. It makes me short of breath. My son likes it but it smells way too strong for me.

Lingering awful smell and taste
Awful smell that lingers on your dishes and you can taste it when you drink from your dishes

We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart a taste into food, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, this is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous, and items made of cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. For best results, we recommend that you do not soak porous items; wash immediately and rinse thoroughly.
