Q: Is this detergent also good for colors? In Germany, Persil sells a separate color detergent (Megapers Colors). Are the ingredients the same as in Germany?

    New Formula SUCKS!!!

    The new formula and scent is awful! I can smell it throughout the house while washing and it smells strong and cheap. It is nauseating and gives me a headache. The soap itself is watery. Persil went the way of Dawn and ruined a perfect thing.

    HORRIBLE , WATERY, AWFUL SCENT Why would you change a good thing? It’s watered down to the point that I literally thought someone added water to it and it’s so bubbly, not sure it’s so great for front load machines!

    Very Upset!

    I just restocked my Persil Original that I've used for years. I switched to Persil from another brand because that brand changed their formula, and I couldn't stand the new smell. Well, here we go again. This new formula reeks! It smells like the gross laundermat I have to go to when I need to wash large items. That's the smell of old, rancid, goopy detergent that has likely been building up in the washers since they opened. Why must companies these days always change a good thing? I'll now have to return the jugs I bought and look for yet another brand. I'm sorry for the negativity, but I'm so sick of being loyal to a product only to have it changed for the worse. It amazes me that companies pay people to ruin their products.

    Reformulation = terrible fragrance & a terrible headache.

    The new fragrance is terrible. Seriously, why do companies keep doing this? Why do companies insist on changing the fragrance or formulation of their products to save what’s likely fractions of a cent? I switched to Persil when the orange bottle detergent reformulated after having grown up using it. I had to switch my blue duckling dish liquid after they reformulated their fragrance after it serving as a household staple (for generations) in our family, and next it was our famous floating bath soap — which now no longer floats and leaves you covered in a strange film. Not everything needs to be new and exciting, sometimes reliability and familiarity mean a whole heck of a lot more than the corporate wonks think it does. There’s my fraction of a cent.

    New Scent SMELLS BAD!

    Not a fan of the new scent. Caught me offguard. I couldn't figure out the smell, then I started smelling our clothes and realized it was the detergent. Gross! I loved the original/previous scent. It was subtle and fresh smelling. I'm returning because there's no way I can handle this new smell. Persil, let me know when you change back.

    Awful formula change

    The new formula is TERRIBLE!! The new scent is atrocious. The detergent is thinner and soapy?? I noticed it leaves detergent stains after coming out of the drier now. I’ve been buying Persil for years and now I will not be buying again. So disappointing.

    I have been buying Persil for 7 years or thereabouts after using it in Germany. My family loved it and were thrilled to find it in the US. I traded Tide for Persil. The new Persil "original" triple care is terrible. It is sickening sweet smelling and very watery. It stinks up our whole house and our sheets are not as soft and smell horrible. PLEASE bring back the "original". I will not be wasting my money on Triplecare. Is your company still selling any original formula. If so, what does the label read?

    Why did they have to change the scent???

    The reason I even started using Persil was for the scent that it had. It was unique, fresh and clean without being overwhelming compared to other laundry detergents, and actually made doing laundry a nice experience if you can believe it. Now this new formulation has it smelling just like the detergents I avoid with its MUSTY or musky smell. I hate it. (If anyone has any suggestions for a laundry scent similar to the previous scent, please post on reddit). The liquid is a lot runnier now which makes it pour faster and it seems to clean the same. But I am absolutely distraught by the new smell.
