Good idea. We got this for adults.
Does a nice job with the white noise. We liked that there are choices for the sounds. I could sleep through gentle snoring, and more challenging for me, return to sleep with the snoring going on. I like the small size and cute sage green color and am glad to avoid a larger and more visually intrusive machine. A charge lasts a long time.

Excellent travel white noise
I am utilizing this as a sound machine for an adult… This is great for traveling in hotels with white noise so I don’t have to use my phone all night. Some of the baby sounds are creepy but I get it.

Essential
This is by far the top 5 essential baby item. I purchased a few sound machines but Hatch is the best by far. From the fact you can loop it onto things to the no annoying or bright lights to wake baby. I have two, one for naps and the other for nighttime and we charge the other when not in use. Highly recommend!

Great! Use it daily!
Love the variety of sounds and love how portable it is! The only thing I would change would be a way to see how much battery life is left before needing to charge again! Other than that, we love it so much and use it daily!

Purchased for a baby shower. Box received damaged but now it states the item is not returnable which was not stated or clear when purchasing from a baby registry. Hopefully it will work or returnable from the recipients. Disappointed.

Disappointed With Battery Life
Overall a great portable sound machine, but we have to leave it plugged in at night which is a bummer. It advertises 15 hours of run time but lasts only about 6 hours with continuous use. I was hoping for a bit more, but still rely on this for little one's sleep.

Let me save you 50 bucks. I’m sitting here at 3 AM feeding my baby in silence because his sound machine battery is dead. As a long time Hatch lover, I absolutely HATE this thing. Idk if I got a defective one or not but the battery doesn’t last all night, so it shuts off randomly before sleep time is over for my baby. It lasts maybe 8 hours max. But even worse than that, it doesn’t connect to the app! If I would have known that I wouldn’t have bought it. I assumed I could turn it off and on from the app which is crucial for when baby is doing nap time in another room. I have two other large Hatches we love but this was a big waste of money. The sound quality isn’t even good! It basically has zero functionality, you’re paying for the aesthetic only, because you can find something that does the same thing (plays a handful of garbled noises) at a dollar store for a couple bucks. Hatch should be embarrassed they even made these. I also had bought two at the same time - one for my newborn and one for my newborn niece and I’m disappointed I gave this to someone as a gift!

Handle comes off easily
Great alternative for on the go but my only dislike is that the handle to attach it to the car seat doesn’t hold well. The device itself comes off the handle easily and you can loose the device. I wish they would make a better handle. Otherwise works well for on the go and love the rechargeable battery!

It worked great for 1.5 years but then all of a sudden wouldn’t turn on. Over time the battery does degrade. Good variety of songs and ability to control sounds - my toddler can use it without a problem. It’s the second travel sound machine to die on me though, so maybe you just can’t expect durability

Do better Hatch
I would give this item 0 stars if I could. This is now my second time purchasing this item. The first item quit working after 2.5months of owning it. I loved it while it worked so I chalked it up to a faulty part and bought another one. Machine number two worked for 3 nights before it quit turning on, wouldn't hold a charge and shut off while plugged in. If you are a mama like me, our baby woke up immediately when the machine quit working all 3 times. Very disappointed in an expensive item.

After 8 month charge will not hold
I really loved it in the beginning. I use it every nap, at night and even to travel. The charge held so well until this month. My baby is now 8 months and the battery will only cover her naps (30 minutes/nap) and 5-6hrs at night. When it stops it wakes her up! Ugh disappointing :(
