I bought a new pair of bookshelf speakers and I wanted to mount them on the wall in my garage. I had just installed a TV and blu-ray player and I wanted better sound (I have a VERY nice garage). These mounts are really nice because I can adjust the speakers in any position I want. I now have them dialed in perfectly, and the sound is great. Most of the mounts for bookshelf speakers that I found hold the speakers with a bracket on the bottom of the speaker. I DO NOT like the look of those mounts. They really look like brackets. When I look at my speakers I don't want to see hardware or brackets holding the speakers. When looking straight on at my mounted speakers the mounts are invisible. I was a little hesitant to order these mounts because you have to drill holes in the back of the speakers. I was afraid I would ruin my brand new speakers. My speakers are amplified. If you do mount these to powered speakers, start with the right / powered speaker first. You might have to make use spacers like I did to clear the extra wires and RCA jacks on that right speaker. Not a big deal. It was totally worth the extra effort to have these mounts. If you have passive speakers you won't have to do any extra work at all. I love how these look and I love how adjustable they are. The installation was simple. I honestly cannot believe how affordable these speaker mounts are! The fit and finish is excellent! When I need speaker mounts again I will be back for more!
