Q: What supports the bottom of the crate? In other words, what is the construction on the base? The reason I'm asking is because I would want to be casters on the bottom to make it easier to move around.

  • A: Hi! The bottom appears to be a solid acacia wood base panel that sits within the crate frame, with the removable 1-inch cushion resting on top of it. The crate is constructed from acacia wood and metal bars and is designed to function as furniture, so it does not appear to have an open wire floor or elevated tray system. I really loved this at first, I love the look and the set up but it doesn’t hold up over time. The doors have both broken within the wood and the metal bars pop off super easily. Wish it would’ve lasted, but just not sustainable for any larger dog.
