  • A: We appreciate your question, Laurie. This is typically how aerosol containers are designed. The propellant that dispenses the product is a gas. We use 100% natural nitrogen as the propellant, and the space above the liquid is occupied by the nitrogen. The container is ~60% liquid and ~40% nitrogen to allow the nitrogen to adequately dispense the volume of liquid. The weight listed on the package reflects the fill level of the liquid in the container.

Q: Is the bottle supposed to arrive only half full? The liquid amount is about at the level of the middle of the yellow flower on the label.

Good for quick results, but not long-lasting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Spruce 10 oz. EZ Aim Spray Weed & Grass Killer along the edges of my walkway where weeds were growing through the concrete. After a few days, I definitely noticed a difference—the weeds started to die off, which was great to see. For a few weeks, the area looked much better and I thought the problem was completely taken care of. However, new growth eventually started to come back. Overall, it does work and is effective for short-term results, especially if you need a quick cleanup. Just keep in mind it’s not a permanent solution and may require reapplication to maintain results.

Easy to use spray for weeds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works nicely for killing weeds and is an easy spray bottle which I like. The only thing is that you don’t get much spray in this bottle, so it’s more expensive than their other bottle designs. I would use Spruce again. It stored well in garage when not in use.

Super fast working

Didn't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to use this for a safer more eco friendly way to remove the grass up against my porch. I sprayed a heavy dose and let it sit. It turned some of the tips brown but that was it. I had high hopes. I'll just continue to use salt water and dish soap.

Works quickly!

Super easy to use weed killer

Only feedback is that the bottle does not last very long so only good for really small patches or areas like cracks in cement.

Weeds be gone!

The plants are almost completely dead now. It was odorless and not messy. I think it’s a good product and I will definitely purchase!

A good weed killer

I bought the spray bottles. They were very easy to use. It says weeds die within an hour I didn't find that to be true. The weeds did die but it took all morning. The next day was even better. I used it to spray weeds along my fence and around the brick flower garden. I would buy again.

Realy hoped this was going to work well on weeds and grass but was very disappointed. Sprayed numerous types of weeds and even the next day only about 50% of them were dead. Spruce has an odd, unappealing scent that lingers for about a day. Lastly it is a much smaller amount of product than it appears by the size of the container.

Great for people with grip issues and arthritis!

It has a nice fine mist and pleasant scent not chemically at all! But the best part for me was the easy continuous mist trigger, I have MS and my hands don’t grip very well and it was so easy for me to use!!
