Fibers keep coming off

I purchased this Welcome-ish mat because of the funny message. It looked decent online and I expected to fit in an indoor location. However, the husk fibers keep appearing scattered on the floor aound it - even though I just place shoes on it without rubbing/scraping. So, I am not happy with the quality and having to keep cleaning up the fibers.
