Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

    incorrect sizing

    I ordered a 9-12 month pair of these shorts and they are off on sizing. WAY too small. She wears 6-9 month shorts now and the 9-12 month wouldnt even fit her now.

    Pretty good

    Ordered these because of the color options I couldn’t find at other retailers. They definitely are soft and have held up well so far after multiple washes. Giving four stars instead of five because they are a shorter than what I was hoping for based on pictures & info provided in the description. But my child is tall, and again that was just what I was shopping for; they may be perfect for others.

    Worst biker shorts ever

    If I could give No stars, I would. These are two times too small. I purchase 9-12 month and can’t get them over my baby’s thighs. I purchased a 9-12 same style from h&m and she has growing room. I’m extremely disappointed and for the price, the quality is just awful

    Great for swimming too!

    I wanted to get my daughter little swim shorts/pants to go over her swimsuit, for modesty and to help keep sand out of her suit! I was looking at all the different little swimmer's shorts, but I thought something that looked like a mermaid would be cuter. These are made out of the same material as swimsuits (minus the SPF), so I thought I’d give them a try. She wore them with the regular swimsuit bottom underneath (so the inseams wouldn’t chaffe), and they worked out great! We got roughly two years of use out of these because I bought them a little big. They have held up great, no seams coming apart or anything, and I just ordered a new pair in a bigger size in the new pink color (she’s going to be thrilled!) I absolutely recommend these!

    High Quality Bike Shorts

    I really like the color and feel of this jersey fabric. Also the sizing doesn't seem as small and tight as some bike shorts are. I bought them up one size since so many bike shorts are made tiny, but I have a feeling a smaller size might actually work as well. We will probably be buying more of these to wear under skirts and dresses and alone.
