1$ canned sardines taste better

This is one of the fishiest tinned fishes i have ever had. I would rather eat cheap sardines for the rest of my life than have to eat this ever again. Could not even force this down with crackers and I usually eat tinned fish without any sides. Something about this was really off and unpleasant.

Was just ok. The olive oil blend was high quality and you can tell they use good olive oil but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this again... the fish was half too tough and half soggy, texture was kinda weird...just not my thing, was thinking I'd like this because I love smoked oysters but nah

So good!

My fiance gifted me this smoked mackerel and the rainbow trout from fishwife this christmas and it is heavenly! I used mine in a pasta with lemon zest, sliced castelvetrano olives, roasted red peppers, olive oil braised tomatoes, and a little butter and Aleppo pepper flakes. The mackerel shines through the stronger flavors without being overpowering or too fishy. The mackerel filets were meaty and very moist and pleasant in texture, not super spicy. The price is high but so is the quality and will definitely treat myself to fishwife tins like this as often as I can! Give it a try if you are on the fence, you will probably become hooked too

These are so so good. This is one of my favorite tinned fish to buy ever. They aren’t terribly fishy, so might be something to look into if you’re new to tinned fish! They’re just fillets too so it doesn’t have a problem of bones or anything

Taste buds love!

I can’t get over how delicious this is! I have been eating it everyday for lunch. I pair it with jasmine rice, cucumbers and some roasted seaweed. The spice is just right especially for those who don’t like spicy. Taste and texture are 10/10. I also love the nutritional value and how it supports my thyroid health. Obsessed

I had a friend suggest I try tinned mackerel, so I decided to give this one a try. I’m obsessed with making pasta with it! It’s the quickest 10 minute dinner and I use the olive oil from the tin to cook everything else in which really brings it all together. So flavorful, salty so it really doesn’t need any extra seasoning. Simply does all the work for you and it’s so satisfying. Worth every penny!
