Waste of money - POOR customer service
Instructions on the bottle are useless. Makes no sense to have both a water setting and an ON setting without explaining the difference. Customer service does not provide any help either.except their canned response of "Oh we're sorry, call us if you have questions!" Buy something other than Pennington Ironite.

Hi there- Apologies for the confusion! Here is a quick breakdown. The Ironite 7-0-1 spray head has an "OFF, WATER, and ON" setting. OFF: No water or product flows. WATER: Only water comes out (no product mixed in). Use this to rinse or water without feeding. ON: Water mixes with the Ironite product and dispenses it at the proper dilution rate. This should make it easier switch between just watering and applying the product. If you are still having issues with the sprayer, please give us a call. Our number is 1-800-265-0761. Thanks!

I can definitely recommend this product and would say those that are having issues, maybe the bottoms was broken beforehand I have never had an issue with product and always works as should. Yard showed signs of deep greening in about 5-6 days. I watered day before application and the afternoon after applying.

Do not buy this ... the sprayer doesn't work
I tried 3 time to spray this on my lawn. Nothing worked. I took the cap off and made sure there was nothing blocking the suction straw. I pushed a nail through the hole in the cap where it is supposed to inject into the hose spray. After 3 times (45 minutes of spraying) I still have a full bottle. Total waste of time and money.

I will buy this product again
A lot of reviews on the container not working. Not sure if I have just been lucky but never had an issue. If anything be careful because the container is designed for up to 5000 square feet and you don't realize how much product you are putting out. Easy to over apply. Never had any issues, 1st try I applied 4000 square feet worth on 1000 because I thought it wasn't working. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Sprayer defective
The sprayer would not mix product with water when turned to the correct location. The product is great but the sprayer is defective. I have a sprayer full of Ironite that I can not use. The cap is tight and the siphon tube is attached.

You have enough negative reviews on this product to understand it's an inferior dispensing method. I've bought 4 bottles over the past two years and NONE of the functioned correctly. The Ironite product is excellent - WHEN - you can get a dispensing bottle that functions as advertised. FIX the issue with the dispenser and you'll have something that is worth buying. Until you do that, I'm finished with this garbage.

Will not buy again
I previously left a review. The response was on how to use the bottle. There are enough reviews on here with the same issue. It's relatively easy to make sure you have the nozzle in the correct location. The nozzle has an issue. These shouldn't be sold until they are redesigned. The store won't give a refund because I was honest and told them I tried to use it Sorry but I won't purchase anything from Pennington again. You guys know there is an issue yet continue to sell a defective bottle.

The spray bottle needs to be reconfigured. I couldn't get any of the Product out of the bottle. Waisted money on this The only thing coming out of the bottle is pure water. Sprayed it on a white cloth to verify. Purchased a second bottle thinking the first bottle was defective. Same thing with second bottle.

Not worth the time or energy
The sprayer didn't even spray the product. It was pure water. There wasn't even a hint of reddish brown ironite coming out of the sprayer.

Good product, Terrible sprayer, product consistency.
The product works if you are lucky enough to find a bottle that will actually spray the product. I have used 4 different bottles and none would dispense the product. Looking at the sediment in the bottles, there are large chunks of iron looking flakes. This is exacerbated by the bottle not having a way to view the fluid level, even when held up directly to the sun! I will find a different brand, as I am tired of dealing with it.

Liquid spray bottle does not empty
The liquid bottle doesn't seem to empty. How long does it take for the bottle to empty? It didn't even seem to feel lighter. My lawn did nothing so I doubt that product was applied. So disappointing because I purchase 2 bottles.

Sprayer Wouldn't Spray
Heard a lot about this product and was eager to fertilize my lawn. The spray bottle solution was a dud. Nothing came out of the bottle. The sprayer wouldn't spray. Tried everything to no avail. Very disappointed.

I would not buy again. 2 of 3 bottles won't empty.
Frustrating when prioduyct won't work. Two of thge three bottles I purchased will not empty and spray no product. It all stays in the bottle. I have great water volume and pressure from the hose and other such hose attached product work but Not the Ironite. Money waisted.

Great product, terrible sprayer
I tried to call the customer service number from another review response and it hung up on me. The hose popped out of alignment and I got product all over, including my face, eye and clothes. No damage, but need to know the proper dilution so I can pour it into a different sprayer with the right strength. Will not use this sprayer ever again, that's for sure. I have to choose if I would recommend "this" to a friend...yes to the product and no to the sprayer is my answer.

Spray head needs to be improved
I bought 2 bottles for 10000 sq' of lawn, shrubs etc.. 1st bottle seemed like it was emptying slowly & maybe half gone at 5000 sq'. So, put the 2nd bottle on & it never got any lighter. Guess my only option is to empty contents into Ortho Dial Sprayer. I think the product would be great if I could get it to where it is needed.

I would not buy this product again.
I have worked for 1/2 and hour attempting to switch the spray to on without success. The spray may be great but if you can't get it out of the bottle it is worthless.

It works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used it a few times and have noticed a great difference. I had burnt patches of grass and it has gotten so much better. I have a tree that we thought was going to make it and it has perked roght back up! It will go fast so just be mindful, make sure you spray slowly and evenly. Also, I feel like the on switch needs a little tweaking, I thought I was going to break it. Overall great product, you should definitely try it!

Hose end applicator
Great product. I have used for several years and it gives me the greenest grass on the block. The only negative is the hose end applicator plugs up if you let it sit for several months.
