Lifetime 8' x 7.5' Outdoor Storage Shed Desert Sand: HDPE Construction, Weather-Resistant, 10-Year Warranty

I am skilled in blueprint reading and very competent at following instructions. I have crafted and built A LOT of stuff. Lifetime's instructions take a lifetime to digest. I ended up messing up my cuts for the wood foundation because your instructions are not written in a manner that makes sense, so my eyes played tricks on me. I knew what my cuts needed to be but walked away with a different number in my head and screwed it up. First, you jumble the instructions up by including 3 languages in the same spot, where every other manufacturer places them in separate sections for clarity. This clouds up the pages and confuses the eye. Second, your cut lists and quantities are not written clearly and concisely, and plays tricks on the reader. You also have completely unnecessary information included on here. The average reader is not going to know what your cut list states. Why? Because you think placing multiple languages and systems of measurements together makes sense, when it only causes confusion. A cut list should look something like: . Split up the quantity from the dimensions in a clear way to minimize confusion. And it should only be stated in one language/system. If you want three languages, make three sections. You will use the same amount of paper. I guess I should have read the instructions 8 times first...my fault. Fix your instructions and I will recommend your products wholeheartedly. But, because you don't know how to write CLEAR and CONCISE (both matter) instructions, I will not recommend your product. I can only imagine how much trouble people that don't work in the trades have with these.

The only issue was the skylights. The screw holes snap very easily. So one skylight I had to caulk down because of screw holes cracked.

Great shed fun project just wish it came with more hooks. I do suggest to not open the box until you are ready because you don’t want the panels to bend at all or get a little warpy. We took everything out so we can get rid of the big cardboard before recycle day and then it rained so they sat out there for about a week leaned up against the wall, but not all flush. But it looks great and is doing its job. Also, along with manual, the video was fantastic.

My husband and I were able to put this up in a day. However, NONE of the parts are labeled. The instructions are not detailed at all. No one has time to watch online videos of how to put this together when you are outside physically doing it.

We needed more storage to move items from our garage to this functional little shed. Wow! It has done wonders to keep us organized. Love that it came with the hooks and one really long shelf, which is the size of the back of the shed. My husband mostly put it together by himself until it came to the roof and maybe a couple pieces of the sides. I was needed to reinforce the drill holes to match up for the walls and roof. The only downfall I would say is that it was a little difficult in some spots to get the drill holes to match up correctly, but we made it work. It only took us about 6-8 hours due to weather issues, so we split it into two days to build. I love the look of this shed and has been super helpful storing all of our yard items.

My husband was able to put most of it together by himself, it wasn’t until he got to the roof part that he needed assistance, in all he probably spent 5 hours on it. Has a nice slip resistant floor. I love that the shed comes with a shelf built right in. It has 3 skylights so that when you are looking for something you don’t need a flashlight, it also has two screened vents so that it doesn’t get stifling hot. As soon as we got it all put together, we had a tremendous rain storm and there were no leaks and the rain just slid off the roof.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After separating the parts, we tackled the construction of the shed. It was basically pretty straight forward and we set it up on our cement slab. We did have to go back to a part that we had not read correctly, but were able to go back and fix our mistake and utilizing two additional people, we completed construction in about 6 hours. The next day we cleaned the floor and attached it to the cement with screws and washers. We are excited about this opportunity with the shed and have begun to fill it with our outdoor supplies at our place.
