Q: How do you put the voicemail on permanently because the one I have is almost identical to this one but the voicemail button is on the rechargable part of the phone and I have it on permanently.

Make sure it's turned ON. Set the Number of Rings: You can usually adjust how many rings occur before the answering system picks up. This is done through the phone's menu on a handset: Press MENU/SELECT on a handset. Use the arrow keys (up/down) to scroll to "Answering System" or "Ans System" or similar. Select "Ans System Setup" or "TAM Settings". Look for an option like "No. of Rings" or "Ring Delay". Choose your desired number of rings (e.g., 2, 3, 4, 5, or "Toll Saver"). Q: Can this be plugged into a modem, does it have to go directly into the phone jack in the wall?
