An oil based, first cleanse formulated with cica oil, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, rice bran oil and gentle surfactants that dissolve makeup, excess sebum, sunscreen and other impurities without clogging pores or stripping the skin. This formula rinses clean and is suitable for all skin types, even those with acneic skin.

To Use: Dispense into dry hands and massage onto dry skin and eyes to dissolve makeup and impurities. Add water to emulsify and rinse thoroughly. Follow with second cleanse.

    Good 1st Step Before Gleanser

    This is my third oil cleanser I’ve tried for a duo cleanse routine. Although a bit heavier and less botanical than the others, this one works well. It’s unscented and feels thicker but rubs in/smooths across the skin and rinses well once emulsified with water. It even lifts stubborn tinted sunscreen well.

    Dissolves Waterproof Mascara With Ease

    Typically, cleansing oils are not my thing. I usually prefer a balm, as I find them to be a little less messy, and I like the richness of them. However, after loving other Prequel products, I thought I'd try the cleansing oil. I won't be going back to cleansing balms! I use waterproof mascara and a notoriously difficult to remove eyeliner -- the original waterproof NYX Epic Wear Liquid Liner (if you know, you know). This oil took both the mascara and eyeliner off like it was nothing. No scrubbing necessary. It emulsifies and rinses off without leaving any residue. It also didn't break me out like some other balms and oils have in the past. This is my new favorite makeup remover!

    highly recommend. good value for the amount of product you get. effective at removing makeup, spf and waterproof mascara. rinses clean with no residue, doesn't burn my eyes and skin is left feeling soft and clean. my one minor complaint is that it's a bit thin and runny so it slips between fingers and down my hands so I do wish it was just a bit thicker and it would have perfect.

    I love the prequel cleansing oil! It leaves my skin soft and clean. I do not wear makeup and I use it in the morning to start my day. I also love that when you wet it it turns milky and rises off easily with no oily residue, your left with clean, soft skin. I’m 50 so I’ve got “mature” skin.

    Caused acne (not purging) and clogged pores

    I wanted to like it so bad. I used it for a few weeks and noticed my acne was worse than ever and that they were weird, oil filled clogged pores kind of like white heads but no solid mass in it of any kind. Straight up was oil coming out of these. I used this as a first cleanse then washed my face really well with a water based cleanser I know doesn’t break me out. It also was definitely not purging bc they’re in areas I don’t break out. Also pretty sure it’s what caused the constant plugged pores in my chin, but those were standard white heads. Not a fan. Gave up on it and tried again a few weeks later and the same exact thing happened. Not for me.

    Sorcery Used In The Making Of This Product!

    I’m not sure what kind of witchcraft was used in making this oil cleanser, but all my blackheads on my nose even the ones that I’ve had since I was a teenager are completely gone. The trick is dry, rubbing, adding water to emulsify, rinsing off, and then I use a glycolic and salicylic acid cleanser as my second cleanse. CHEF’s KISS! MAGNIFIQUE!

    Did an ok job at removing makeup, but left a residue. My main issue with this is it has caused severe dryness on my eyelids. My skin isn’t overly sensitive, but this is an absolute no for me. My eyes itch and burn constantly now.

    Biggest mistake I've ever made!

    I wish I could get my money back. I wasted my money on this cleansing oil only to end up with irritated cheeks and whiteheads. I’m so disappointed!

    Disappointed

    Very effective at removing makeup and light weight. Does not feel heavy on skin. Unfortunately I can not use it because it’s causing clogged pores. I’ve been getting more white heads and black head. Also my skin seems dryer and a bit irritated especially around eyelids.
