    This works fine for cooking rice. The steamer isn't so great. However, the real issue is that in no way would this ever hold 6 cups of cooked rice. Cooking 2 cups raw, which yields 4 cups cooked, fills the container to the brim. The measuring cup included doesn't hold as much as the 1 cup measuring cups I have.
