These cookies are D E L I C I O U S!!! They are soft and chocked full of luscious, creamy dark chocolate chucks. Unfortunately they also stick together. Hence only four stars.

Crumble and fall apart.
The taste of these cookies is okay. They're not as good as the original Tates Chocolate Chip. My issue is that the soft baked cookies are four to a container and they're stuck together. If you try to pull them apart they crumble and fall apart in your hand. You pretty much have to eat these cookies with a fork.

Soft and chewy and stick together.
Liked that they were soft, and liked the chunky dark chocolate chunks, but quite a few of them were stuck to gether and a lot of times broke apart when you tried to pull them apart. Didnrmt stop me from eating them though, as my pop used to say "its all going to the same place kid". Perhaps some sort of paper like they put between packaged sliced cheese would do the trick, otherwise id have gave them a 5 star rating

Who thinks these are cookies?
My DIL ( who works too much to bake) bought these for me to replace some decent cookies I had made. Don’t compare to mine, and absolute trash compared to what my late wife could make. Even my ducks were not thrilled with them. Weird after taste.

Meh
I like how soft they are, and the chocolate chunks are pretty good. But the cookie itself, the dough part, is flavorless. It's weird, it's like eating fluffy air with chocolate chunks in it. It's also annoying how all the cookies are stuck together. Won't buy again.

I am not a fan of dark chocolate by itself and I always buy it mixed with something else. I eat it a lot on my first day of my period. It helps cramps immensely. And these cookies surprised me so much! I love how soft they are and it doesn’t even taste like dark chocolate. It’s absolutely delicious! I will buy all the time, please keep these coming!! Great cookie for us women who eat dark chocolate at “time of month” haha.

Stick to original Tates
I bought these for the first time 9/8/25. We have been Tate’s cookie fans for years and now have many others enjoying them as their cookie of choice. I must say we were very disappointed with the new SOFT baked dark chocolate chunk cookies. Bland in taste and the most troublesome part, they were all stuck together. I bought them from store, to an A/C car to an A/C home, so storage was not an issue. The chocolate was not melted. We opened as soon as we got home. The cookies could not be separated which immediately ruined the experience of a Tate’s cookie. Don’t recommend them and won’t buy them again.

Don’t waste your money
So disappointed with these. I bought 3 packages and we managed to eat one of them. And let me emphasize I purchased these- I wasn’t given them. The texture is very soft and crumbly. Hard to pick up in one piece. The dough part is almost tasteless. The chocolate is the only good part. These are packaged in two separate foil wrapped plastic trays, much like the regular Tate’s. But, instead of being placed on their edges, side by side, they are stacked, 4 on top of each other. Because of the cookie softness and the soft chocolate, the cookies stick together and are nearly impossible to separate. I ended up with two completely stuck together. I like Tate’s regular cookies, and will continue to buy, but the soft baked? Never again.

I bought the Tate’s bake shop ,soft baked chocolate chip cookies and I must say they were such a delight at every bite because this was my first ever bag I bought to try and I am absolutely amazed with the softness and Quality ., that I am already wishing and hoping the company produces the soft baked version with walnut chocolate chip cookies in both dark chocolate and milk chocolate , this would be so exciting and I would purchase and not share lol 😂.
