Great purchase
We love this product. I was a bit skeptikal because my son recently tirned 8. However he got tored of the lunchables and sandwiches every day! He is able to eat almost anything from this Omie box. I actually asked him: " is your food still warm?" and he replied " yes mom!"

OVERPRICED GARBAGE
$50 GARBAGE. The box collected soapy inside and was leaking out into food. I was sent a replacement box (just the box, no seal, nothing else) by Omie, and the seal doesn't fit so my kid doesn't have a lunchbox today. I'm past the Target return window and Omie won't refund me either. Don't waste your money on this overpriced garbage.

What you’re describing (water collecting inside the shell) typically happens when the box is run through the dishwasher, which can allow water to enter the insulated cavity. Safest and practical lunch box for kids. Best customer service!
We purchased our Omie plus accessories summer 2024 in preparation for our daughter's first day of school. She's been using it for over 1.5 years, now in first grade. Recently we had a part crack and we reached out to Omie. And within 12 hours we had a tracking number with a free part en route, including a how to video. This is hands down the best customer service and warranty process one could ever ask for. It's operated by a mother, small team, and you feel the passion (and compassion) they have for us, their customers and our children. If you want to give your child the best, this is it. Finally a lunch box with a built in thermos option
I often do leftovers, pasta, or frozen foods heated up in my kids lunches and having to switch back and forth between a thermos and extra containers and then the bento was becoming a pain. If I have a non thermos item I can still use the Omie and so it has become the only lunch container I need. It also has enough compartments for the snack as well. Love the handle! My kid is 10 but I like this one the best. Also although it's not dishwasher safe-it's much easier to clean than the bento because it is all one part so easy to spray out and wipe clean. Thanks Omie!

Cute but not hot
I love the look of this lunchbox but the thermos section does not keep anything at all warm by lunch and my kids complain. I prep it with hot water according to the instructions. Such a shame. I usually just use it for cold sandwiches.

Water inside the shell usually occurs when the box has been exposed to high heat (such as a dishwasher), which can affect the insulation layer and change the shape of the box. I bought this for my four year old son for his school lunches. It does not keep food hot very long.. I have prepped it with boiling water. I love the different sections but i wish the thermos would actually keep food hot ..

Finicky thermos top
I bought this because I was very excited about a hot and cold option. The thermos and the square around the thermos is really finicky. When I turn to close the lid, the thermos square always pops up and I end up turning endlessly. Each time, I have remove the thermos top and try again like 2 or 3 times until it closes correctly. This makes for frustrating mornings when we are already running late. My parents were supposed to help my daughter get ready for school and they are not happy about how hard the lid is to close. So when they take her, they choose not to even deal with Omie box. I wish it were easy to open and close. Then it would be perfect.
