CeraVe Gentle Scalp Care Shampoo - 12 fl oz

I was using another brand of conditioner but it started to irritate my scalp so I researched this one and my hair and scalp has never been better . I just wish it was in a bigger bottle like the shampoo is

Shampoo is great for sensitive scalp. Gentle and still cleanses. I wish they would make it in family size.

Most shampoos irritate my skin at least a little bit. My scalp gets pink and sensitive or itchy or flaky. Even shampoos made for sensitive skin! Not this shampoo. My scalp doesn’t react at all and my hair feels clean and soft. The scent is very light, not my favorite but also not bad. I just use a conditioner or hair oil I love the smell of. If on the fence, just buy this!

Do not recommend! I wanted to like this shampoo and thought it would be great for my psoriasis/dry scalp. After using it for 2~ weeks, I noticed significant hair loss.

I LOVE this product. I think shampoo is like an “everyone is different” product because this shampoo has been life changing for me. I have been breaking out all over my scalp for about 2 years and tried multiple different shampoos with no luck. With this shampoo I have been pimple free for 6 months! It does not leave my fine hair greasy as others have stated for them, and has honestly been a miracle worker.

I loved this product at first. But after a few months of using it, I noticed significant hair loss. Everytime I saw myself in the mirror, I thought it was grease weighing my hair down making it look flat but I was actually losing hair all on the sides of my head. I was shedding everywhere. It was ridiculous and I’m so sad. I hope my hair grows back.

This works so perfect. It’s simple and it really works. I’m going through menopause and sometimes my scalp gets so itchy and dry and this completely made it go away and it makes my hair feel soft and clean. It’s simple and it works.

I would not recommend it. Hair gets greasy very quickly. After using it, my hair started falling out a lot.

I love this shampoo! I was struggling with dandruff and a severely itch and dry scalp. I tried several medicated shampoos but they only worked for a few weeks. As a last ditch effort I grabbed this shampoo assuming it wouldn’t work and to my surprise it did! CeraVe shampoo doesn’t leave my scalp feeling stripped and itchy and it does a decent job moisturizing the ends of my hair as well!

I have used Cera Ve skin care products and have been satisfied with them. I recently order the Gentle Hydrating Shampoo which states on the front of the bottle "no sulphates". This is the reason that I bought it. However, on the ingredient list, it clearly states "sulfates". The word has been manipulated with other letters, but this is still "sulfates". This is deceiful and dishonest and I believed that this was a company with integrity. I am now rethinking the skin care products that I am using.

I have sensitive skin and scalp. I was excited to try this shampoo when I saw it at the grocery store as I am looking for one that includes niacinamide. Unfortunately it really irritated my scalp in just one use. After looking into the ingredients many sources said SODIUM C14-16 OLEFIN SULFONATE, the main surfactant in this product, is not for sensitive skin. I do not know why Cerave would use this surfactant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice shampoo, lathers well and feels clean. I don’t recommend to people who are prone to having oily hair, as I feel like mine got greasy quick after using. Probably better for people with dryer scalps.

I have had to use more dry shampoo using this bottle than I have with any other shampoos the last 10 years. I dont have terribly oily hair, but this does not keep my hair looking clean for more than 24 hours. While using it, I have to use a lot to feel like I'm cleaning well enough, and I'm needing to shampoo more often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm impressed. As someone with a sensitive scalp and dry, wavy hair, finding a shampoo that cleanses without stripping moisture has been a challenge — but this one genuinely lives up to its claims.

This leaves my hair soft without weighing it down, and is great for my scalp, too. Best part is no strong smell!

I love the conditioner I will keep buying it .. the shampoo burns the back of my scalp I get this weird sensation and my scalp feels a little dry no flakes or anything just feels crispy if that makes sense .. I do lose a lot of hair with this shampoo idk why .. I’m not sure why there is salicylic acid in it .. my skin is sensitive already and I don’t think I am oily at all so maybe it makes me produce even less oil . I was so excited for this shampoo .. I think it has way to many ingredients.. I just want something that would wash my hair good , and not leave it so frizzy or dry … I’ve tried a lot of shampoos and they either cause weird sensations my scalp like this one or give me major headaches from the fragrance in them.. or the ones with oils itchy my scalp or leave a residue on my Scalp from not washing my scalp good.. so far the only one that is ok is suave essentials and I feel like it’s so cheap and I feel bad using it on my head because i hear it’s so bad for you .. but the smells don’t bother me or the shampoo doesn’t cause weird sensations on my head :( . Idk what I’m suppose to do.

I lost a lot of hair using this product. As soon as I stopped using it my hair stopped falling out. I use other cerave products so thought this would be gentle like the rest. I do not recommend.
